Manchester City Discussion 2024/25

I think I just read Haaland is signing 9 year deal with all buy out clauses removed.

City must be worried relegation is looming and want to hold on to him.
Read also that he order a Domino's pizza every 10 seconds and still have cash left over

Someone I know big Citeh fan says Pep has been having an affair with a physio at the club, gagging order of some kind in the UK but not in Spain.

May well be prepping for a potential transfer ban. Looks like they will be spending big in this window and tying down Haaland to a long contract.

Funny how they sign a young highly rated defender from the French league for about half what we paid for Yoro.
Bring back the days when United employed intermediaries to discuss the contracts, and didn't get involved until all the money was sorted, even then we still got ripped off.

Was a bit tongue in cheek but certainly felt like the Real Madrid interest was used to seriously bump up the price on Yoro.

Ferguson used to argue that a player that cost say Chelsea £25m would cost United double, simply because of the name

Historically we were by some distance the richest club so clubs could jack the price up but that is no longer true.

More recently the off the books payments to agents probably got them better deals on players than others might get. No need to say allegedly here they’ve admitted payments were made to Hazard’s agent that were not through the club.

City slip up again and that away kit is the worst Iv ever seen. :)
PSG with 63% possession this was no fluke.
The Pep out calls can’t be far away.

Walker has left on loan to Milan to the end of the season.

12 points behind and Liverpool have the game in hand as well.

The max points City can reach is 80.

Liverpool are on 53 after 22 games. Their form would need to go off a cliff for City to catch them.

I can see City winning out. Haven't ruled them out yet. Takes a Salah injury.

I can’t see City winning it. Liverpool win their game in hand and they are 15pts clear.

It’s also not just Liverpool, Arsenal are pretty consistent and are 6pts ahead. They are perennial chokers but wouldn’t rule them out as well.

The damage has been well and truly done for City and they’ll lose a couple more before the season is out.

Still think any team with a decent counter attack will take points off them.

Going to take a lot of money to fix that squad.

They’ve not signed a player who looks top class in a while.

Being linked to Nico Gonzalez.

23 year old centre mid from Porto.

Haaland has been found out to be the donkey he is, they have one tactic, hit it towards the tall guy who can run.
It's good to see them getting walloped now and again.

One might speculate they are preparing for a potential transfer ban.
