Weird one, unless Pep has kissed and made up with Cancelo.

I know he's moving towards playing with no fullbacks but even so ....

Maybe Bayern will end up taking both I don't really know how much Cancelo featured last season.

If Tuchel is going for the 3-4-3 system he used at Chelsea then maybe he wants Walker to play on the right of the 3 to protect De Ligt's lack of pace. They could then use Cancelo as a wing back or in a back 4 we've seen Cancelo play as a left back. Doesn't seem like there's a way back for Cancelo with Pep.

He will be a loss to City he's become a really consistent performer for them and fair play to him for stepping outside of his comfort zone to make this move and try something different.

There's still plenty of talk about Gundogan, Bernardo, Laporte and Mahrez all leaving this summer. Maybe quite a few players feel it's the end of the cycle for them at City and City/Pep don't stand in players way if good offers come in.

Pretty good job at covering up the charges and down playing them.

Yes City now are a fantastically run operation and no longer need to break the rules but the charges relate to how they got into this position.

Did they break the rules along the way to help reach the top quicker?

Yes, without doubt. Or was it rhetorical? ;)

This is weird, they just win the triple, so why change so much of a good formula. Walker is vital to keep Vinicius in check. No over Defender manage to nullify him so well. Who is going to replace is leg power. Also Bernardo is also a Key player in the squad, there is not so much equivalent for his talent. But nevermind if Pep accept this, they will be weaker and that is good for us.

I think it's more the players want to leave rather than City wanting to make these changes.

Pep has always said he'll never keep a player that isn't happy but if players say they want to leave then they have to respect that the club need a deal that suits them. Bernardo apparently has been looking to leave for 2 years but clubs can't afford his asking price so fair play to him for just getting his head down and getting on with the job.

Guess it will depend on who they are able to get in to replace any of the players that do leave, City seem to be pretty good at plugging their gaps.

I guess if Bernardo leaves there will be more demand on Foden to step in for the bigger games.

They are succesfull, what else do they want ?
Don't tell me that they Dream of Madrid and Barça, that is stupid

You would have to ask them but success isn't everything sometimes in life you just need a change of scenery.

Maybe they feel the premier league is taking it's toll on them physically.
Maybe they don't want to work for a manager as intense as Pep.
Maybe they feel the family would be happier living somewhere else. These aren't lads that grew up in Manchester dreaming of playing from City they've travelled across the world.
Maybe they want a fresh challenge.
Maybe it was their dream to play for one of the big sides in Spain when they grew up it isn't uncommon.
Maybe they want to win things at a club where everyone doesn't think they've cheated.

City have a fairly tight wage structure for the players maybe they could actually earn more money elsewhere. That was one of the reasons Sterling left, City weren't willing to offer him a big pay rise so he decided to leave.

Weird, when Madrid won the CL with Ronaldo nobody left. They stayed to keep winning it. They sound like mercenary to me.

Agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign Kovacic for £30m.

1 year left on his deal and is 29.

I've always quite liked him, he isn't world class but he's a handy player for a squad.

Gundogan to Barca being reported as a done deal.

They’ll miss him always a player that Pep turned to for the important games and he normally delivered.

Seems pretty strong rumours about Bernardo Silva being off to Saudi Arabia.

Sounds like they're willing to pay the transfer fee City want and are just trying to convince the player to make the move.

If i was Pep, i will keep Bernardo no matter what. He is that special but let see how it end

If he wants to go let him go.

Never keep unhappy players in your squad at that level.

As for Gundogan I think Barca are only "poor" because of the FFP stuff and what La Liga rules allow them to account for. They'll be hoping to off load a lot of squad players and wages this summer to make the numbers stack up.

Josko Gvardiol from Leipzig seems to be their number 1 transfer target this summer reports in Germany are they've bid £77m for him.

Seems to be the hottest centre back property on the market at the moment.

Gundogan is a really big loss for them. As much as KDB makes them tick, I think Gundogan is one of those players that sort of go under the radar but are pivotal to how a team plays.

I know they have brought in Kovacic but he’s a level below Gundogan for me.

Yeah Gundogan has been a cracking player for them, remember when he signed he was seen as a risk as he'd had a few injury problems at Dortmund which really stalled his career. I have a vague memory of the injuries being a problem for a lot of clubs as they couldn't get insurance on him due to issues that would be flagged by a medical.

Be interesting to see what happens with KDB now he's probably past his peak years physically and the injuries are starting to become an issue for him. he can't start 50 games a season anymore. I think he'll be one that Pep looks to protect and manage through a season to make sure he's got him in tip top shape and fresh for the big games in the second half of the season.

Also, De Jong has made it very clear he doesn’t want to leave.

Super talented but still got a lot to learn, looking forward to seeing Antony put him on his backside a few times in the first derby ....
