Do we have to?
Came here to say the same thing, I'd rather watch paint dry.
Then again, actually, I hope he has a blistering few months there, scores a load of goals, stops Liverpool winning the title.
Villa then sign him on a 5yr deal £440k a week for £50m, then next season he throws them under a bus.

I'd rather focus on the good memories of Rashford than the bad ones.

Provided us with some amazing moments in some big games and played an important role in a lot of those cup wins that have kept us going over the last decade.

I actually hope this all works out for the best for everyone he gets his career back on track and Utd can move on from the current situation with a bit of money to re-invest in the squad.

My flippancy aside, I do wish Marcus the best. I don't know if it's the pressure of the club, the spotlight etc, but he has not been right mentally, and I hope this move gives him the happiness and peace he needs.

One of the best humans of his football generation. Absolutely wish him the best.

Away from the pitch he was the saviour of many at a time of struggle. Take nothing away from the lad. Go and find your form and enjoy it.

Right click copy image URL and paste that.

Not sure about how to do it on a phone.

Not sure how reliable this is, but it's what I've been trying to post, just cropped up in my X feed, probably because I follow United on there.

The club trying to dictate what he can and can't spend his money on is embarrassing. He's an employee not a slave. They can advise him to gamble not ban him from it.

However that's nonsense it's well known the group he's in drink and gamble he rarely does and gets involved for the atmosphere.

The club are his employer, he is not an academy graduate any more, he is one of the senior players, so he should be setting the right example, not going out late on all night binges, not turning up late for training, or at worst not turning up at all.
Whether he likes it or not, he is a Manchester United player, and certain standards have to be met, even when he is "off duty", but he never is, because wherever he goes he makes a spectacle of himself.
I am 99% sure that if he was doing it on the pitch for the club, it would not be so much of an issue, but he's not.
You only have to look at the picture of him at Villa, the guy looks half stoned, he certainly isn't wide awake, and looks a shadow of the bloke that signed that massive contract.
Take a look at any other top athlete from any sport, look at Ronaldo, at the age he is, I would gamble that even he could out perform Rashford in fitness test.

I'm not sure the point of slagging the club off for a report you then say is nonsense.

We don't know what is true and what it isn't. What is clear he's got massive problems on the pitch, which is more or less guaranteed to be related to things off the pitch.
Whether it's pills/gambling/alcohol or none of those. He needs to sort it out. And I hope he does.
These players get paid way too much.

The whole point of going to private casinos or clubs is they have rules around filming people. It’s meant to give them a bit of privacy.

I do think Utd were right to be concerned about the reported late nights given his performances were not up to scratch.

The one that apparently made Amorim’s mind up was a night out on the Friday before a game on the Sunday vs Everton.

When you get paid hundreds of thousands of pounds each week, surely you have a duty of professionalism, more than that, a moral obligation to be the best version of yourself you can be.

That money has to come from somewhere; It has to be recouped. Ticket prices, merch prices, monies not available for investment elsewhere, other people's wages, etc, etc. The fact you accept that contract has consequences far and wide.

If you can't be bothered to be 100% constantly, then don't take the money.

I don’t think it really matters what you do or earn.

If you are turning up to work tired and hungover on a regular basis your boss will eventually decide to do something about it if your work isn’t at the level it should be.

We'll have to agree to differ here.

There are countless number of jobs where if you turn up under par on a Monday morning because of a heavy weekend, there'll be no consequences. Usually, we can make up for our slack periods and meet our obligations. Take it too far, and of course we can expect to be held to account.

But of you are in an elite position, you cannot afford to coast, you cannot make up that slack. It's one of the reasons you can demand such a high reward.

The amount of money matters too. The more you earn, the more you should be mindful that every penny of your wages has come out of someone else's pocket. You have a far greater obligation.

the very least he should have some awareness that all the while he rakes in 300 grand a week, people struggle to get the £66 to see him.

have some pride ffs and show some repect to those who come to see you

Which is exactly what Amorim did, and to some extent what ETH tried to do.
Senior players at the club should be setting the right example, Rashford was not doing that, if he was turning up for training on time, was in at a reasonable hour, not jetting off for parties with mates, and was still underperforming that's a different kettle of fish, but he wasn't, he was bringing his name, the clubs name and to some extent Englands, into disrepute, you cannot have a player doing that.

It's a total lack of respect all round to the fans and the club, but especially to his team mates, at times watching him walk off the pitch after losing he gave the impression he didn't care, and that filters down, if Rashford doesn't care about the club, why should I care about him?

There is no doubt he did incredible things for his work with kids meals but that doesn’t mean he can be putting a half arsed effort in on the pitch and being unprofessional off it.

He has had so much leeway over the years but Amorim has said enough is enough and hats off to him.

In the bigger picture Rashford’s job isn’t that important but plenty of people have ok paying jobs that are quite important.

His job requires him to maintain peak physical condition. It’s not an easy job and he has the right to blow off a bit of steam every now and again but they do get days off to do that.

all first team players should be held to the same standard be it players on 50k a week or 300k a week.

Even if he was on lower wages his behaviour would still be an issue.

Rashford comes on for Villa, the first thing he does is actually jump for a header not only that but he shows some aggression and elbows the CB, something he couldn’t be arsed doing for United what a shithouse.

The movement shown up top by him is way better than Hojlund
Must have been a big row

He made more effect in that cameo than has for United since signing the new contract. Shameful behaviour from an academy product. Let’s see how long it lasts for…

He’s playing for his dream move to Barcelona and he isn’t yet in their starting XI.

Of course he’s going to give it the full beans off the bench.

His situation at Utd even before he was taken out of the team appeared toxic for everyone involved. Everyone involved is winning by him no longer being there.

He was always going to have more pep in his step, he’s playing for a big move to Barcelona.

I’m not fussed how he does to be honest. He could score 20 goals between now and the end of the season for Villa and still wouldn’t regret letting him go.

I watched it Spurs were rubbish the game was over at 2 nil when Rashford came on and he had little impact in fact his usual bad decision making was clear to see.
