Not so long ago you would have expected them to tale all three points no problem.Big point for Liverpool.

Will Newcastle turn up at Anfield though?Liverpool have got a tough run of games coming up. City Villa and Newcastle in next couple of weeks. Out of the FA Cup, could see a wobble from them here. They've won 6 of their last 12 in all comps. The gap is 7 with 14 to go.
Stranger things have happened, it's a long time since Liverpool have been in this position, and Slot has never been there, the FA Cup doesn't seem to have given them the kick up the arse it should have, underestimating opponents seems to be an issue with them, they need to learn that teams are not just going to roll over.I think they'll wobble but don't see any of the chasing pack being able to put the sort of run together to close that gap.
Think they'd need to lose 2 on the bounce and Arsenal close right up behind them to make it interesting but hard to see Arsenal getting on a good run with all the injuries up front. They'd basically need to 1-0 their way to the title.

Salah is on like 22 so far this season, they are being very reliant on him, you would think coaches would be putting a man on him to take him out of the game, the one he scored last night, he had acres of space and time.Same sort of thing happened to them last season around this time they were right in the race but injuries started to pile up and they fell away as the other 2 went on ridiculous runs of form. The advantage they have got is a few of those players have actually won the title so there's a bit of experience of getting it done the team chasing them don't have that luxury.
I watched the game and to be honest the equaliser came out of nowhere they were seconds away from the sort of win that we'd all say is the mark of champions.
A draw was probably the fair result but Liverpool were actually doing a decent enough job of seeing out the game but Everton just chucked everyone forward in a last ditch attack won a couple of headers and then the centre back volleys it in.
The worry for Liverpool must be that apart from Salah it doesn't feel like anyone else is really chipping in at the moment in the league. They need one of those other forwards to find a bit of form.

That man Salah again though, a goal and an assist, would love to have seen the game.Another 2 points dropped. This race isn't over.
Ideally it's 6 points going into games next weekArsenal have a wiff as they still have a game against Liverpool but they have to be almost perfect.
