Not the most trustworthy of sources but reading reports Ole has been linked with managerial post. It’s a tough gig whoever gets it because of that potential points deduction. They could well be doomed even before they start the season.

Reports they could start on anything from -10 to -20 points.

Not sure they’re going to attract a top manager with that hanging over them.

No young manager will want that relegation on their record.

I’m sure big sam is just sitting waiting for the phone to ring. Probably step in after Steve Bruce has had enough just in time for the January window for another rescue act.

I don't see why they'd care. If those penalties come in to play, I don't see Leicester expecting much more than survival. Possibly even less if it's 20 points. That's worth the risk to possibly be a hero.

I mean if they got -20 points they'd need to get 50-55 points to stay in the division.

Based on last season that would be enough points to finish 9th.

Also, with the PSR to consider I'm assuming they've got no money to spend and their better players will likely be sold so you're really up against it.

Appointed Steve Cooper.

Think that's a good appointment, did a decent job at Forest just run out of a bit of steam and the turnover of players can't have been an easy thing to manage.

Even without the looming points deductions he'd have a tough job keeping them up but it was the same at Forest and he managed that in his first season.

They'll need a good start.

They were in chats with Potter, I wonder what went wrong.

I'm not convinced about Cooper. Don't think he'll keep them up

Yeah who knows what happened with Potter.

For a relegation scrap I'd probably go with a man who's come through one.

If they get 10 points plus deducted I don't think anyone would keep them up.

Cooper did an incredible job at Forest getting them promoted and keeping them up with a brand new squad that was hastily assembled.

Not sure if it's a good thing

Getting away with over spending on a technicality?

As for City not sure it's really linked the issue here is under the leagues own rules they can't charge Leicester.

That grey area that exists between the PL and EFL rules/jurisdiction probably needs to be sorted out at some point.

Big win yesterday Fatawu looks a real talent
Yeah definitely. He was a class above in the Championship last year.

From the three promoted clubs I think they have the best chance of staying up - the other two look like they’ll probably go right back down.

Yesterday was the first time I’d seen him, quality off both feet and good in the air.

If he can play like that regularly he won’t be at Leicester very long.

Job for EtH maybe

Their squad is probably more suited to his tactics than ours was, and at least they'd all put the hard-yards in to try and make it work, unlike ....

Ruud was being linked, think he should swerve that.

I doubt they’ll stay up.

If he keeps them up this season can see him trying to buy Maguire, Shaw and Rashford in the Summer. Think United would accept £75m for the three if he did. Might try and take Rhys Bennett, Dan Gore or Ruben Curley on loan this season as well.

They wouldn't pay Rashford wages

I don't see any of those players moving to Leicester.

Shaw and Rashford still have plenty of time on their current deals 2027 and 2028 respectively.

Maguire also didn't leave on great terms and isn't particularly popular with the fan base.

Not sure how they work with the signings but I don't think Ruud would be looking at the squad he's just worked with to fondly.

Surprised he’s taken it.

Keeping them up will be a hell of an achievement.
Yeah a real tough ask for them, more so now they’ve lost their best player Fatawu for the season.

They still have some talented players in their ranks but it’s going to be very tough for them to stay up. I would probably say Ipswich maybe edge the more likely of the promoted staying up.

I dunno can't say I watch them regularly but there wasn't anyone who stood out apart from 1 game from Fatawu and the lad they've got on loan from Brighton has had a few eye catching moments.

Defensively they're a mess shipping 2 goals a game. Ruud doesn't strike me as the man for a relegation battle maybe Big Sam didn't pick up the phone this time.

Ipswich to me look like the ones who've got a chance as they've got a goal threat that might cover their iffy defence in a few games.

The prem regulars who look in trouble this season are Palace and Wolves for any of the promoted sides to catch up they've got to finish above at least 1 of them.

Maybe he's looking beyond the prem and towards managing in the Championship.

Prior to joining Man utd he was spending time with clubs in South America trying to learn new things and different ways to do things.

At the moment, he seems to be all about the learning.

He seemed pretty adamant that management wasn't for him and he just wanted to be a coach for now so seems surprising that he'd jump into a relegation scrap.

He steered us clear of the relegation fight so maybe Leicester think he's got the right skills ;)
