Games start to come thick and fast now in various competitions!

I suspect a lot of the guys on the bench yesterday will start this one so maybe something like the below:

Onana

Dalot - Maguire - Evans - Amass

Casemiro - Ugarte

Amad - Bruno - Garnacho

Zirkzee
Bruno very rarely gets rested so suspect he’ll start this one. I would like to see Wheatley start but reckon he may go for Zirkzee again to continue to build his fitness levels.

Hard to tell with the injuries the lads who came off yesterday didn’t look like serious ones but ideally I’d like to give the back 4 another run out together to try and bed them in but I think Bayindir might get the cup games this season.

I think we should give Bruno a rest put him on the bench just in case. I’d start Rashford he didn’t play internationals so hopefully get him rolling. I’d also start Antony at some point he needs playing time I’d give him a chance here.

Biyindir

Maz De Ligt Martinez Dalot

Ugarte Casemiro

Antony Eriksen Rashford

Zirkzee

Be good to have the likes of Amass, Collyer and Wheatley on the bench just in case there’s opportunity to give them some minutes in the second half.

Are you both sure? This is the coach's bread and butter, lol.

He loves a cup, seems to think this is what we're all here for.

Don't be surprised to see a close to full strength team.

think last season we couldn’t rotate as no one was fit. Most games the 11 that were fit were the 11 that played.

With the extra European games this season he has to use the squad.

I hear you, but still wouldn't be surprised if we played a full strength team.

Ten Hag:

They are all available," he said of Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez. "They are good.

"I hope I have headaches because, last year, I also had headaches, but there were no players available.

"So, I hope I have many players available and we can make a selection from game to game. Definitely, we have to rotate because we have to cover so many games and so it's not only about a starting XI."

First, Luke Shaw, he's progressing but not ready yet to be selected," Erik added, during his press conference at Carrington. "Of course, we have a plan in our head when he can be ready but you are always dependent on how the progress will go. You can't think, you can't make a suggestion [of a return date] because there are so many factors why a plan can accelerate or slow down.

"[As for] Ugarte, you will see tomorrow what the selection will be for this game."

Victor Lindelof, Tyrell Malacia, Shaw, Leny Yoro, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund missed the weekend win due to injury and remain on the sidelines.

Couldn't care less about this competition.

But I imagine he'll go strong

Doubtful.

More likely to be Evans at LB and Cas at CB.

Doesn't make much sense to play Collyer OOP at his age and time in the team. He'll be in there with Ugarte.

Just a guess though.

Maybe Antony at left back I hear he loves playing there

Perhaps but it could be that sort of hybrid full back central midfielder role, as when Amrabat did it a few times last year. We will see I guess!

Yeah, it could have been a lot of things with the players he picked tonight. I like the fact he's rotating finally.

Was just confirmed though, Evans at LB, Cas Cb.

At least that was what Sky Sports put up, but from watching this first few minutes I can't tell what it is.

You heard it here first and chose to doubt me.

Nice goal by Rashford
It was a question not a prediction, hence the question mark. So do one ;p

Collyer doesn't seem to understand what he's doing though - his movement is very odd.

Harry Amass must be shaking his head.

Did see something suggesting he isn’t fully fit at the moment. Surprised he wasn’t on the bench.

Ten Hag did say in pre season he felt he was still a few months away from the first team. My guess is they’re likely getting his physically ready and holding him back until he’s ready.

Just about getting minutes on the pitch I guess.

Can’t see it being a long term plan for him

Antony has looked sharp. The right response to the managers challenge.

Rashford should be taking that penalty he’s the taker shouldn’t be passing them over.

Will be good to see Wheatley get some good minutes in the second half.

Overall very comfortable and thankfully no shock on the cards!

Think that’s all the forwards who’ve played off the marks now.

Suspect we will see Zirkzee come on for Rashford around the 60 minute mark.

Might see Wheatley get the last 10-15

I’m liking Ugarte’s tactical fouling, it’s something City115 do all the time and just what we need.

Good finishing for the goals.

Sensible subs little surprised to see Bruno come on sort of highlights how short we are in midfield.

Is it 5 subs in league cup or 3?

Still need more from the coach, I was expecting at least 11-0. Total annihilation.

If Justy was about he might have finally nailed a scoreline... ahahaha

On a more sensible note - that was very refreshing and just what ETH needed for fans like me to get a bit more confidence in him.

Cas had a great game, was very impressive even know it was quite poor opposition.

Garnacho MOTM.
