If I was to make up a Portuguese youngster who played for Benfica to be linked with Utd he’d definitely be called Joao Neves.

Born in 2004, this kid might not even have been born when Rooney made his Utd debut.
 
Benfica don't do discounts they only sell on their terms it's pay the release clause or no deal.

They squeezed Liverpool and Chelsea for every penny on Darwin and Enzo.
 
does he have a buy out, to be honest I dont know anything about him and didn't read the tweet as they don't load for me.
 
I just did a quick search he signed a new contract in August until 2028 which according to Sky Sports has a release clause set at £103m.

This stinks of the usual slow news day (international week) story that bounces around... you'll never guess who his agent is!

If he's that good I imagine every club is keeping an eye on him but if he's under contract until 2028 then the only way to get him will be to pay that release fee.

Although Madrid did pay 60m for a 16 year old. Mind you he does look a beast.
