James Weir has already represented England at U16 level (most recently against Northern Ireland in November 2010) and featured for Manchester United in the Northern Ireland Milk Cup during the summer of 2011.

Weir was a late call up to England's under 18's squad for their 2-0 friendly win against Italy. Came on in the 2nd half and looks like he did well judging by this video. Grimshaw played the whole game also.

Been quietly impressed by Weir this season. He's technically sound and an intelligent young footballer.

Had a very good season. Can't remember seeing much of him last season, bit like Michael Keane a few years back who didn't look up to much one season and then over the summer he shot up and has improved greatly since.
