Casemiro and Amrabat as the centre back pairing. You could play Louis Jackson there but obviously a risk for a youngster.

Hope some of our centre backs are back for the FA Cup final or we are going to be absolutely rinsed!
 
Think it’s just a domino effect.

Once you get a few go down you have to push the ones that are left harder and risk them breaking.

He must be gutted.
 
That's sort of my worry too. I think he's now going to rush people back and potentially reinjure them.
 
What choice does he have?

Of the medical team clear them and the players are willing to go then he’s got to use them.
 
The answer to that is pretty simple. It's to ease them back with a small amount of game time, and not start them as he is likely to do knowing him. Even with the disaster that is our defence, he needs to show them the patience. We're just going to have to get through it with what players are actually fit 100%.
 
I’m not sure what to say anymore about these constant injuries
This season is off the scale it can’t all be bad luck
 
If everyone is injured how do you ease them back in?

In an ideal world that is what you’d do but that just hasn’t been an option at times season.

Not everyone is injured.

Shaw didn't need rushed back last time, that's an example of what shouldn't happen.
 
When Shaw returned Malacia was injured and so was AWB meaning we only had 2 fit full backs.

Reguilon had gone back to Spurs as Malacia had returned to light training and was expected to return by the end of Jan.

The point is with the exception of Dalot I don’t think any defender this season has had a long spell without being injured. Every time they return we are already down to the bare bones so the club can’t really ease them in.

We actually eased Martinez back in then he gets injured in a freak collision. When your luck is out it really is out.
 
Then your answer is to duplicate the same stupidity and expect a different result? No, thanks. I'm not insane.

I would prefer to assess each player on their own individual capability each match day and only play them for the time they are capable of regardless of anything else. That way I will get my players back to 100% without reinjuring them.

No my point is you can only play the hand you’ve been dealt, a lot of the time this season he’s been dealt a pretty awful hand.

If your choice is a half fit Maguire, a kid from the academy who’s nowhere near ready or a centre mid out of position you probably end up going for Maguire and hoping for the best.

Of course you’d take a bit more time with them if you could but when every game has been must win for most of the season he had to pick his best team.

Go back and look at the start of the season. Injuries forced changes to our centre back pairings in pretty much every game.

Think Arsenal was the 5th league game of the season by that point we’d lost Martinez, Varane, Lindelof and Shaw to injury.

What has to be looked at is what the hell happened in pre season.
