Here you go @Mr C it may be short lived.

I actually think he'll end up staying, I don't see anyone offering the sort of money for him that makes selling him make sense because if he goes he needs to be replaced.

deja vous

I think his recent seasons for united will put off any potential buyer, as well as his wages.

He is keen on staying and winning his place back which I respect. Not sure he's got the game for ETH. And when Eric arrived I said Harry would be gone by season 23/24. So another prediction I got wrong ha.

Lets see how he does.

I was getting to the Harry thread. :p Was holding off slightly on some of the match threads for the players who could be on the move.

If he stays I don't think it's nailed on that he's behind Lindelof in the eyes of the manager.

He certainly was last season when Maguire's own form was poor but if he can recover a bit of that confidence I can easily see him getting ahead of Lindelof.

I do think it's best that he moves on though just looks to me like a player who needs a fresh start at a new club.

This is going to be a short thread as he's sold this summer or he sits on the bench and doesn't play. Either way, there's not going to be not much to discuss.

I don't think we'll sell him without getting another CB, and I don't think anyone can afford him. Also he's going to be fussy where he goes from I heard on the news yesterday. He's not going to go a team like Everton for example.

We need a foreign club to come in for him, although that probs mean loan.

You know your time is nearly up when in Bruno's absence the Manager chooses Scott McTom to Captain the team and you walk out third behind the keeper ....

If as seems the Maguire deal to West Ham is off does he come in for Martinez at Spurs, I ask cos Lindelof was a bag of nerves against Wolves, I know playing alongside Shaw should come with a Government warning, but ....

I doubt it the managers comments about his lack of confidence in a Utd shirt doesn't fill me with confidence.

I suspect it'll be Lindelof to come in.

Andy Mitten reported that Maguire doesn't have permission to speak to West Ham currently as the offer was only accepted on the basis Utd find a replacement which is what they're currently working on.

I suspect ETH wants Maguire out of his hair and the club will want him gone by the end of the month.

He has hair!? ?!

Held his hand aloft for the second goal instead of trying to defend. No further comment needed.

Amazing we've conceded so many goals yet Onana is faultless for them all

You expect keepers to save every deflected shot?
So a goalie shouldn't have reactions, doesn't practice that?
It was straight at him, regardless of deflection, he should have saved it

It's like we're only expecting him to save shots down his throat. I understand giving a new player time, but he should save that.

He doesn't give me any confidence in goal keeping. Lovely with ball at feet

Did not expect to see someone trying to blame Maguire for that goal yesterday.

We mark zonal all game Arsenal overloaded the back post and the manager did nothing to adjust it to stop it happening.

Evans gets himself penned in by Gabriel and doesn't get out to the ball, he should be throwing the Arsenal man out the way and flying out to that but he can't because he's 35 years old and shouldn't be anywhere near a game like this... not his fault 4 other centre backs are injured.

Maguire did ok but it was pretty clear as soon as Maguire came on the short stuff stopped and we went a bit more direct although that could also be because we suddenly had Hojlund to hit.

I don't see it.

To be honest in his current situation he just shouldn't be anywhere near a football pitch but one thing he needs is Utd fans to stop being absolute d*cks towards him especially online because it's only making the situation work.

Last night summed it up his team are 2-0 up and coasting yet Maguire is getting ironic Ole's from the crowd, at Arsenal their fans cheer him on to the pitch.

We should have brought in another CB. Clearly Maguire is no good to anyone at the moment.

Should have joined Jose or something. He was a fool to turn down a move.

You can't just keep adding players unless players leave.

The squad just gets to big and impossible to manage.

Maguire just needs to leave he's decided to stay and take another year on his top salary I suspect next summer he will move on as he'll only have 1 year left on that wage and will be easier for him to move.

Did Chelsea get that memo?

To be fair they did clear a lot of players out this summer they sold 8 first team players, think 2 others left on a free and a couple of others went out on loan which is a hell of a turnover in 1 window.

Still a hell of a squad for Poch to try and manage as keeping that many players happy is the problem especially as they have no european football.

Don't think it makes any difference to be honest.

Maguire could probably do with his family not talking in public on his behalf.

Was the sort of game he needed nice and quiet.
