A good showing in pre-season so far. Still a little bit raw but has all the ingredients to be a fine left back.

Remains to be seen how much action he will get this season but with Malacia still struggling he has a chance.

BBC reporting he's staying at Utd for the rest of this season and won't be going out on loan.

Finally a debut for the lad and thought he did a decent job. Very reminiscent of a young Luke Shaw in his style.

The squad is getting to even barer bones so one or two more youngsters may get a chance before this season is out.

Good for him to get his debut.

Kept it nice and simple which is probably what you want.

Looks like physically he's got a lot of work to do to get ready for men's football but if he can stay fit then there might be some more chances later in the season to get some more first team appearance and show that he can be competition for Dorgu next season.

I know the injury list is extensive for you guys but to be fair I think it may end up being a good thing? The league season is pretty much over but I guess it may impact your Europa League campaign? But you have young guys in positions now that may lead to them getting game time? Maybe keeping players fresh for the Thursday games?

Thought Amass did well yesterday. He looked bright and kept it simple with no mistakes.

Think the big issue for Amass is the lad ahead of him is only 20 and the club have spent big money on him as the left wing back. There's also another lad coming in the summer from Paraguay.

It might be that next season either Amass or Leon go out on loan to get some experience.

Next season it's probably better for the youngsters if we aren't in the CL. As there's less games the club will likely go for a small squad which creates space on the bench for these youngsters to get some opportunities.

If the club are in the CL they'll have to buy some more experienced players.

Bit of a strange game to throw him in for his first start. Obviously got to see how these youngsters stack up but he was always going to be up against it playing one of the most physical sides in the league.

Technically you would say he’s ready but physically he’s work to do. A promising player though for sure.

I think he will use the remaining league games to have a good look at some of the kids on the fringes.

Sounds like he did ok

I thought he did okay. Maybe he could have been quicker to press the player who fizzed the ball into Isak for the first goal.

His best performance so far. He showed real quality in defence and attack, and was technically sound. There was a lot to like.

He was understandably nervous in his first couple of appearances but looked much more confident yesterday. Dare I say it but he looked far more accomplished on the ball than Dorgu. He’s always been thought of as a ‘Shaw regen’ and you can definitely see why.

Promising signs for sure.
