SPORTITALIA EXCLUSIVE - Conte has decided: for the post-Kvara only one name: Antonio wants Alejandro Garnacho, a 2004 Spaniard from Manchester United. Price 50 million. Manna is already at work but Conte has shown the way.

I can't see any club paying more than that for him. It's not like he's in great form and playing every week.

I wonder how much Mainoo is worth to you if Garna is £90m. Isak money? lol.

Well Mainoo I’d be asking for £100m.

Rice, Caicedo and Enzo all went for over £100m.

Garnacho is one of the most highly rated young players in Europe. What are they moving around for now £70-80m?

Utd are not trying to force these players out but if other clubs would like to buy them they’re going to need to cough up some big money for them.

Napoli look like they’re about to sell Kvaratskeila to PSG which is where this story has come from.

Garnacho is a player with good potential and nothing more. Recently he can't even get in the starting XI. If he was this soon to be god he would force his way into any team on the planet in any system.

I like the player as much as the rest of you, but you have to real about it. If he's seen as not needed by us due to the system we play that also puts us at a disadvantage. It doesn't matter what you think a player will be worth in 5 years, he's only worth what teams are willing to pay now.

Those numbers you're suggesting are pie in the sky stuff. He's not worth that money right now.

£50-60m max. Even that is probably too much.

And we wouldn't get £100m for Mainoo either. He's barely done anything yet.

Garnacho is one of the hot young talents in the world.

It isn't his fault that the manager plays a system he doesn't fit in to. But you don't then ship him off on the cheap. Now days people have to pay up for potential. What did we pay for Hojlund? You think Garnacho should go for less than that?

Hojlund wasn't out of favour at Atlanta, and we massively overpaid for him anyways. He was never worth £72m. We got done, and in this climate other teams are going to be trying their hardest to not have the same happen to them.

I can see the argument for the potential he has, I just think his current situation in our team is not helping his value.

If he'd of started most games and had been showing some level of consistency and good attitude the price would be higher.

When you look at Garnacho, would Madrid, Barca etc come after him.
I think the answer is no.
He's good, but I think some fans over hype him. He's had a couple of decent seasons. But he's been poor this season, even under ETH he was making bad decisions and stupid shots.
I don't think he's worth more than 60m. But if someone offered 60m would I take it
Absolutely not.

Fabrizio Romana is saying Napoli are sniffing around him, and want to do a deal.

Garnacho , exclusive to @MCriscitiello yesterday morning: Napoli has already reached 45 million euros, bonuses included. The request is higher than 60 million pounds, but it can go lower. For Conte, the 2004 class is first on the list by a long shot, the others would be alternatives. Juventus has also thought about it, but for June.

So they're probably offering £50m and £10m of unachievable nonsense like Ballon d'Or winner.

Sounds about right.

I'd simply prefer to keep him.

I read that as their offer is 45m euro including bonuses. We want 60m GBP

So they need to practically double their offer nearly

Yeah seems I may have read it wrong.

No way I let him leave for that crap offer, it would be £37m + bonuses.

I don’t think he goes unless it’s a silly offer.

I know it wouldn’t be a popular sale but I kind of get it. If Amorim doesn’t think he fits long term then getting good money (and to be clear they should only sell if they get good money) might make sense? He’s a sellable asset (one of the few you guys have) but you would have to replace him this window.

What is good money though?

Napoli is selling Kvara to PSG for around £60m say we get that for Garnacho. What does £60m get you these days?

The smart move here is say to Napoli take Rashford on loan for 6 months for us and we will do a deal for either him or Garnacho in the summer.

I don’t think we can let Garnacho go in January we should give him a little bit more time

we need a striker this window.

so whatever it takes to get one.

I love Garnacho, but he is struggling in this system. I think united want 60m gbp. Which I think seems fair.

As much as I like Amorim, getting a coach in whose philosophy means few current players fit, is a bit daft.

saying that, most of these players have proven they are not good enough in any system

Sky Germany are reporting that the initial bid of £40m has been turned down by United, and set the price at £60m.
Garnacho is reported to be telling his agents he is open to the move.

Wish we didn't have to sell him, however how else are we going to raise some money. I blame the board for wasting so much money under Ten Hag putting us in this PSR situation.

Sounds like he wants to go.

Napoli would be a decent move for him they've created the spot in the team with Kvara going to PSG.

It really looks like this one is happening.

Personally think it's a bit mad to sell him mid season unless we've got replacements lined up as we're horribly short of goals.

Would be mad to sell him and not have any replacements come in. You’ve got to think that we have some irons in the fire on incomings.

I would think he's being sold so we can bring a striker and/or a wingback in
