Sepp Blatter denies that payments to Michel Platini were fraudulent

Platini was sent a payment of 2m Swiss francs by Fifa in 2011 but Blatter said the money was part of a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ between the pair

Crazy to think just how much power these two had on the game less than 10 years ago and the absolute corruption of bidding processes that existed while they were in charge.

Football is much better off without them not to say the new guys are perfect but there's at least some better governance over how decisions are made it's not just a smoky room full of old men in blazers deciding where the world cups will go every few years.
