Bit of respite from the league. Leicester have been pretty woeful this season, so let’s get ready for us to make them look like prime Barcelona!

Depending on the weeks training could be the perfect opportunity to blood Dorgu. And you never know we may have an attacking loan signing in by this time tomorrow.

Expect Leicester will put out the B team.

Not sure we have that luxury.

Expect Bayindir to come in.

Maybe we see Shaw return and a debut for Dorgu.

I can't sum up any enthusiasm for this, mainly because it's on a Friday evening, a completely alien day and time for me as far as football is concerned, I assume it's been shifted for TV coverage.

Nah Utd just felt it would be funny for Leicester fans to have to fight their way up to Manchester through the Friday rush hour traffic.

TV companies rule everything now it is rather stupid to be playing cup games on Friday's but here we are.

I can't imagine fans of either side are happy with the timing of the game especially when as expected Utd have charged top dollar for the game think away fans are paying £60 for the cup game compared to £30 for the league and our fans who aren't in cup schemes are paying £66 each.

We've beaten them a couple of times already this and they look woeful under Ruud. This team raises its game for the cup comps. We will win.

I've had three emails telling me tickets are on general sale, so don't expect a bumper crowd, especially at those prices

So maybe it’s the players fault in the league if they only raise their games for cup competitions? The whole raising the game just for cup comps is nonsense but for arguments sake maybe the league form isn’t all on Amorim then?

Yeah only a shock Obi-Martin inclusion would change that for me but being realistic it won't happen

I'm not really interested in the domestic cups, so a loss wouldn't be so bad in my view, a few less games.

But for Amorim, it would be bad news.

Stupid time, I won't be watching

Think he needs a home win.

Going out the cup at home to Leicester would be a big blow.

Is the new guy actually left footed?

This is painful to watch

Yeah he's left footed. No idea why we have them this way round

It's been painful for a while!

To be fair this was his setup at Lisbon. His right wing back was left footed. He’s trying to replicate that I presume.

Would make sense if he was a left footed right back. But he isnt.

He also looks done already. Fitness looks a problem.

0-1

These are an absolute shambles going forward.

Doesn't help they're handcuffed.

We have 3 attacking players. The formation doesn't work. At some point this needs to be acknowledged.

Big boos at half time.

It works if you are brave to play it in a brave aggressive way. This lot can’t. Your wing backs have to be attack minded players.

All of them are terrified to play forward.

No one is able to receive a pass and turn to face forward.

Need to get Garnacho on and give them two sides of the pitch to worry about.

That's another half of football without a shot on target.

Diabolical display, we are more interested in going backwards than forwards and very weak in the tackle.
I give up.

Dorgu off Garnacho on

Guessing Amad goes to wing back.

Intensity needs to be upped massively and a lot braver on the ball.

Genuinely mental and indefensible. Bang on about needing a left wing back, sign a left wing back, stick him on the right, drag him after 45 minutes and play your best player and biggest attacking threat at wingback.

He hasn’t a clue what he’s doing, does he?

How can we sign a so called exciting young left full back, play him on the right and add insult to injury by taking him off at half time. It really does a lot for his confidence -not. Absolute disgrace

Count the times we end up 7 at the back. It doesn't work.

It's ridiculous our two best attacking players. One is played deep and the other didn't start.

The entire Amorim regime can be summed up in one word. Pathetic.

Still have hope to turn this game around because they're an awful side. But can we even get a shot on target?

Got me baffled too that one

It’s only if you are sloppy with the ball and allow yourself to be pushed back.

Utd have zero out ball to be direct as none of our front 3 can retain a ball under pressure. Squeeze up on to Utd and you get results.

The back 3 and keeper take forever to pass it forward.

When they eventually do it just gets played back as no one can turn and move forward.

The ball does not move fast enough around the back and in midfield to move defences around and get players one vs ones.

These were all problems under the 4-2-3-1 system deployed by ETH.

No.

We created the second most chances in the league under ETH this season. You can't ignore the fact we were creating chances that were being missed and now we aren't creating a thing.

Why do we need a back 5 and a DM?

Let's make it very clear it's a back 5 not 3. It's embarrassing.

Signs a new left back and plays him wrong side. Their keeper hasn't even had to make a save ffs.

This side looked a lot better under ETH the idea they didn't is ridiculous you watching?

How the hell hasn't that done in. Garnacho dropped proving he's the best attacking threat we have.

The manager unfortunately can't see it. Pace and desire.

We have 4 good attacking players. Garno, Amad, Bruno and Rashford. One doesn't get played, one is gone, the other gets played deep.
