I think he is a very good player, but a bad buy for our current team. He's not a player that is very creative and without that I don't see him progressing with us under ETH. The system doesn't suit him, and neither do the players around him. The win against City in the cup final proves it. We did better without him and for him that is worrying. I think Zirkzee should be the starter from now on, and it's up to Hojlund to show why he should be included. He's got to add creativity to his game or he isn't much use. Rashford and Garnacho are looking for goals more than assists and Bruno doesn't...

Some of his subs are odd.

Why put Lindelof on for Yoro? He didn’t look injured.

Been dipping in and out of the game but looks like we’ve let this one slip away from us a bit.
 
Has an Onana left-footed pass ever hit its target?

He doesn't even have a right foot.

What a tool.
 
Taking Garnacho off again was odd. He was an outlet.

His pace scares teams and taking him off allows them to squeeze up. Took any momentum completely away from us.

Couple of decent saves from Onana after the pen.
 
Not sure Garnacho is fully fit.

So short of attacking options taken off 2 forwards for 2 midfielders.
 
Zubimendi will be back for them next week.

Really needed to capitalise tonight. Last 20 was very poor after a composed performance prior to that.
 
Think the weak bench caught us out.

The subs they made injected pace against a tiring opponent. Our subs just made us slower and we fizzled out.

We might have just enough to get through and keep going but we do not look like a side who’s anywhere near clicking and storming through this competition.

To be fair posts don’t get many likes on this forum, I wouldn’t dwell to much on it.

As for Onana from the bits I saw wasn’t really a night to dig him out looked to me like a 7/10 job.
 
Threw this tie away, well on top first half should have scored a couple but didnt, then the handball.....Bruno cant have any complaints if players dont know that keeping your hands away from the feckin ball in the box is going to cost us theres no hope. Strange subs again that didnt work.

I'm starting to feel unwelcome.

Not by you.

But if you add a few others like IDFD and O-Dog, then you're getting close to 50% of the forum's main posters.

I don’t give my likes out willy nilly! Got to really earn them!

And my post was descriptive of how boring this agenda against Onana is. No player deserves to be called a tool, a clown etc. They are professionals doing a job - I take issue with petty name calling.

And for what it’s worth I have no grudges. I’m pretty easy going and think all posters on here are decent.

Not entirely sure what you mean here but trust me I’ve got no issues with you. Me not hitting that like button is no reflection on you as a poster. I disagree with points you make and vice versa.

It's not about the actual likes, it's the story they tell. You know what mean. I was only using this to make a point.

You can't be liked by everyone, living this long has taught me that, but it's not adding up here.

Think after internationals we could have Mainoo, Shaw and Mount back but there’s no set return date for any of them.

I've never liked a "like" system, especially on quiet forums.
Yes I use them, but I will use them when I see fit and to whoever, for me it's the post not the person.

Personally I think you are an asset to the forum, 99.9% of the time you put over balanced and informed views, unlike me you tend not to rise to the bait!

Yeah, I don't care about the likes, honestly. As I said it's the story they tell, and the effect.

For example - they'll agree with each other, quote my post say some shit, then like each others post. They've been doing it to me since day one.

It's just bullying. I'm usually a confident person most days, but if you catch me on an anxiety ridden depression day it does me a lot of damage.

I wouldn't get paranoid about it, if he's following you (and me) all over the forum he's either a troll or a secret admirer.

I've got better things to do than read his anti-Amorim rhetoric, it's quite sad that he trolls posters and only has the intelligence to leave an emoji instead of a balanced argument.
Back on topic.
I thought we played some good football at times tonight, I though the penalty was a bit harsh, and wondered where they drew the VAR ref's from, did they say at the start of the game?
