Early kick off for the group decider with Sociedad.

Utd need to win by 2 goals or more to top the group, winning the group is important as it gets you through to the last 16 rather than face an extra 2 leg playoff game against a side that finishes third in their CL group.

No news yet on Anthony or Lindelof who missed the game on Sunday but both are potentially in contention as is Martial.

Big call to leave out the leading goal scorer unless Rashford has a niggling injury/unwell.

Thought we did well first half. Sociedad rallied in the second half and pressed us deeper. Not the result we needed, but not a bad performance.

Missed most of the game.

Strong start but it sounds like it fizzled out and ETH‘s attempts to get them going didn’t seem to work. Didn’t really have options to turn to on the bench due to injuries he’s missing 3 of his biggest attacking weapons.

A terrible referee decision in the first game has ended up costing us at the end but equally failing to really go to town on two poor teams is down to us.

In normal circumstances that would of been the perfect European away performance, sadly we didn’t have enough firepower to get that second goal.

Thought Garnacho took his goal really well and had a very lively first half but faded in the second half.

We haven’t got anything to fear in a play off against one of the 3rd placed CL sides. Even Barcelona wouldn’t hold any great fears for me. Them and Juventus are tough on paper but in reality we have enough about us now to beat them over two legs.

Think the second half highlights that United are seriously lacking attacking options.

Absolutely.

With Rashford, Garnacho, Anthony and Sancho, we have potentially exciting wide players who can fit into a fluid, fast passing side. But that means nothing without a mobile, lethal finisher.

If Martial actually wanted to play, he'd be just what we need. Unfortunately, his head will never be in the right space.

Would have been nice to win by the 2 goals needed, but not over fussed, as a fan it's two extra games to look forward to, and i'm sure the money-counters aren't losing any sleep over it either.

I think we're pretty well stocked with wide players but yeah the centre forward options are not good.

Ronaldo is a shadow of the player he once was (he should consider doing a Pique after the world cup) and Martial is never fit.

We must be about 20 games into the season and Martial has started 1 game and came off the bench 3 or 4 times.
