Bellingham can play 8 no problem, Foden in at 10, Gordon for TAA. is the minimum I would do.

I would also swap Saka for Palmer
 
Saka has been rubbish so far he hardly gets past the left back to get a cross in and he needs dropping, Palmer should get a start too.

Well… What a shower of poo! Southgate is a clueless clown. The FA have no balls they should sack the fool mid tournament. Kane looks washed and can barely make a pass but is shooting from wherever. Bellingham not involved. No width. No pace. No energy. No plan. Another wasted tournament!

Get Mainoo on! He can get in between lines and inject some urgency. He can get things moving. They are too static.

Kane just needs to be dropped it’s simple. He looks leggy and slow. He’s barely moving and he’s giving the ball away. At this point he can’t start games. He looks like a player to bring on when you are dominating and need a goal.
 
Need pace and width. If they are going to persist with Kane then they need to get more crosses in the box!
 
He'll never understand he can't play Bellingham and Foden together, they just don't work.

We're out already, it just hasn't happened yet.

I think Bellingham and Foden can play for sure, in 8 and 10. But Bellingham looks done this season.

Gordon and Palmer need to start, and either drop Bellingham alongside side Rice or just drop him.

Foden was our best player tonight

As IDFD mentioned, I'm not convinced Guehi on that performance
 
Bellingham's looking tired. Last two matches, he's done nothing.

Palmer looked good, Mainoo did alright.

Southgate needs to grow some balls.
 
Bellingham looks leggy. Kane is abysmal. He needs to inject pace and energy and width in to that team. And yet most of his subs were more central based players. He’s a joke.
 
Second half was ok first half was shocking.

Mainoo has to start the next game, he speeds up everything England do.

Bellingham and Trippier probably need to come out of the side at this point, just aren’t performing well enough.
 
I still think without Shaw fit Saka has to start left back.

Portugal drew their first 3 when they won it. Italy were taken to ET by Austria and beat us and Spain on penalties. So why not!

But things need to change. I would actually like to see us go behind. See how we respond. Because at the moment these players seem to feel they've won a game without getting out of second gear. Does Kane come alive if we go behind. Do Jude and Foden remember they won player of the season in their respective leagues. Does Saka remember he's known for dribbling and beating players. Does Rice remember he's a good midfielder.

Why would you drop Guehi? He’s been our best defender by a mile so far.

Totally agree about getting Palmer and Mainoo in from the start. We looked so much better when they came on.

Bellingham looks knackered to be honest. It’s been a long season with Madrid and he is still a young lad, so think the volume of games have caught up with him. Again I agree dropping Bellingham and playing Foden in the number 10 role.

If we continue to play like we have, once we meet a good team we are going out. We have had slow starts in the past though and have stepped it up against better opposition. We just look so flat though but fingers crossed we can overcome the sluggishness.
 
England were poor again until Mainoo and Palmer came on they have to start the next game and they will find it easier against a side that want to come out and play, Slovenia hardly came out of their half and played for the draw, Pickford had nothing to do all night bit of a crap game.
 
Wasn't that impressed by Guehi last night he's an ok defender but not good enough on the ball but I would stick with him now I'd resist making to many changes.

If Shaw isn't fit I'd go with Gomez at left back, Trippier is really struggling in that position we have to change it.

I really don't see it. Again last night he was sloppy and gave the ball away. It's going to cost us against better opposition. We can't ignore these mistakes because lesser teams aren't punishing them.
 
If he won't drop Kane and Bellingham at half time when we've already qualified he isn't going to drop them at all , we're not direct enough.
 
Kane was much better in the second half he stayed up top in his position and didn't clog up the space by dropping deep which he did to often in the first half.

Slovenia were playing for the draw as that got them 3rd spot so they made it very difficult to break them down. That fella who kept going down injured when anyone went near him was pure comedy.

Bellingham as a 10 I think is a potential issue in these sort of games as he's not particularly creative and what frustrated me last night was when the ball got wide into crossing positions he never went and got in the box with Kane which is where you want him. Against that sort of setup he almost needs to play like a second striker.

Neither wide player was able to get themselves 1 vs 1 and create shooting opportunities even from long range because they weren't able to feed them quick enough to catch Slovenia out of their shape at all.
