Thoughts on Wheatley?

I would say he’s on a list of possibles who can make that step up. He’s come on leaps and bounds this season. I would say last season he wasn’t really someone who stood out but definitely improved as time has gone by.

Looks like he has a more all round game than other strikers who have been tipped to breakthrough the last few seasons like McNeill and Hugill.

I think next season he will make that step up to the next age group but he’s definitely one to keep an eye on.

I think this is more in hope of keeping him on and hoping he has a loan or two and we can eventually receive a decent fee for him. In terms of potential I would say Biancheri and Obi have slipped ahead of him.

Sounds like a pretty poor loan move to Walsall so far.

Loans are sometimes very pointless, Walsall are fighting at the top of league so are of course going to give more experienced strikers the lion share of the games. Unless you are an elite young player, some will struggle for any meaningful game time.

Depends on how long he's been there.
If it was from the start of the season then he's not doing a lot of good there and needs being pulled and put into a club where he will get games under his belt.
