So are you saying it's not his fault? That he hasn't had enough time to recruit the right players, and it's more of a club recruitment problem? Or something like that?
I feel like ETH would have had plenty of say in most of the signings, and had input as to whether they were/are a good fit for his system.
I’m saying I don’t know whose fault that is. I would say the selection of players is at least partly his fault (he has a veto) but the fee/wages are not. That would probably fall on Murtough.
We wasted way too much time messing about in his first summer on De Jong.
I think this summer there was clearly a bit of a 1 in 1 out policy. The more players that we could sell the more we could buy. No move for Casemiro or Eriksen meant he could only get 1 in which was Ugarte.
