Another one I imagined may leave in the summer but not happened as of yet.

Still brings great experience but I don’t think you can trust him these days to keep up with the pace of the PL. There will be lots of games so can still do a job but doubt he will be starting many especially if we bring in another midfielder.

Needs to be gone by the end of the summer window.

Yeah I would say he’s one of the ones that needs to go, however there doesn’t seem to be to many murmurings of him leaving.

The fact he's still here is ridiculous. His legs are evidently gone. He'll be phased out of the Denmark squad in this cycle and needs to move on. There is talk of a move to Ajax to finish his career there.

I was hoping the desire to play more games might make him ask to leave but as far as we know he’s sticking around.

Apart from maybe the last 30 minutes you can’t really use him in league games.

He was decent, better than expected. He could be useful against specific opponents and utilised in cup matches against weaker teams.

I thought he did well, he spots some passes I think nobody else on our team can.
Obviously we can't play him in the big matches

There are certainly games he can contribute in but given he’s probably 4th choice we will need to get a lot out of him this season.

You never lose your quality and he was brilliant last night. If you give him time and space he’ll still do the business. A couple of brilliant finishes.

Yep man of the match was easy for him.

Good for him to play the full 90 as well.

Another solid performance.

He was the player we probably needed coming on after an hour rather than coming off if that makes any sense.

He does fade in games which is a huge problem but we are really lacking a top quality passing player in midfield.

Man Utd vs Twente

Got the good which was the goal and him knocking it about nicely

Then the bad runs out of steam and the opponent starts getting a bit of the control in midfield. Eventually he makes a really bad error losing the ball in his own half that costs us a goal

It was how such an experienced player turned blindly inside and was robbed of the goal leading to the goal.

Think he was well surrounded and very isolated.

I think in those circumstances it’s fine to just hook the ball into the channel and see if someone runs on to it.

While he is very experienced his whole career before Utd way playing much higher up the pitch.

Was just a horrible goal to let in.

Should not be anywhere near the pitch in a Utd shirt again.

No one decided to keep him, no one wanted to sign him.

Contract expires in June
He should have nothing more than one year rolling contracts from the beginning instead of a three year.
he had an ok first season now the games just pass him by he doesent even get close to competing for the ball.

He should never have been signed in the first place.

Even at his best he wasn’t good enough to play in the very best sides.

After that heart attack he shouldn’t have been anywhere near a side like Utd.

Delightful ball for the second Amad goal. He’s still got that in his locker, shame he can’t really be trusted in that midfield anymore.

Lovely pass for the Amad goal.

Shame his legs are gone.

Do you guys think he’d be better utilised in one of those #10 roles? Could potentially mean he doesn’t need to cover as much ground?

By the way I mean as a squad player rather than being a full time starter.

I think that’s the only spot you can play him but not as a starter.

When you need to score he’s handy as he can pick the lock with a pass but you can’t play him for to long.

He will be off in the summer

Poor first half.

Second half started to find some space and link with Amad.

Does he get an assist?

He was awful, a lot of potential attacking play broke down through Eriksen.

I have liked Eriksen, but looking forward to him moving on in the summer.

Agree.

I like him on the whole though and he has been of use to us over the years. Time to move on now though.

Hard for him to be sharp given how little he plays at the moment.

He’s normally done ok when he comes in for the odd cameo but tonight he was poor.

As per the Lindelof post, thankfully this season will be Erksen’s last at United. That was hopefully his last game.
