What’s his all round game like?

Does he do any link up stuff for others or is he just a pure finisher?

Imagine just having someone up front who is just a pure finisher, instead of staying deep and fannying about like the rest of our 'strike force'.

John Carew!

Been doing my head in trying to think who he reminds me of, not as quick as Carew but similar in how he looks like one of those players that have been plucked from another sport and dropped onto a football field, just doesn’t look natural.

Carew was part of that great Valencia squad wasn't he? Aimar, Lopez, Ayala, etc.

I only really watched him in the Champions League, but from what I remember, I'd agree.

One of the more reliable publications said the other day Chido Obi was signing his first professional contract for Arsenal on his 17th birthday

Chido Obi made his debut tonight for the 21’s away to Rochdale. Two minutes after coming on as a sub circa 80mins he set up 16-year-old Amir Ibragimov(one of United’s best players on the night)to smash the ball in from outside the box for United’s 0–1 win

Got a bit of Isak about him. Really exciting talent and does a lot of things very well.

I would say he’s in a group of 4 or 5 that will be pushing on the first team door before long.

Call him up for Leicester, otherwise gonna switch off for the league games until August. Just give it a try he might give this team a little bit of renewed spirit which Statler and Waldorf don't

I would be very hesitant introducing any youngsters into a malfunctioning team. It could cause more harm than good.

Chido is definitely knocking on the door but not sure we’ll see him in the first team this season.

Kids should only go up to the first team if they are ready.

We shouldn't be chucking in kids expecting them to fix this mess.

The senior players need to dig us out of this particular hole and kids come in as and when they are ready.

If we don't then I'm done apart from the cups, sorry

What makes you think Chido is ready? As a watcher of the youth teams I can tell you it’s probably too soon for him to be considered. Not saying it won’t happen, as youngsters are fast tracked but for me he’s way too raw right now.

I just think give it a go, surely he can't possibly be any worse than Statler and Waldorf up front

12 months ago we probably had this conversation about Wheatley.

you could see he wasn’t ready

Sink or swim, just sick of seeing Statler & Waldorf prove they are hopeless strikers

Why risk him sinking?

I’d be ok sticking him on the bench for an experience but starting him is an insane risk.

If you are good enough, you are old enough.
What do we have to lose, give him 30mins at the end of the game, no matter what the score is.

The manager will decide if he’s good enough.

He hasn’t called him up to the bench yet which suggests he doesn’t think he’s ready for this level yet.

Honestly he isn’t ready to even play a few cameos. Trust me he is very raw. I just don’t think he’s ready and even less so in an environment such as our team at the moment.

I am all for blooding youngsters into the first team but not willy nilly.

Should have loaned someone then

Sounds like he will be held back for a bit so Statler & Waldorf can get away with poor performances

Really sticking with that muppets reference aren't you.

Amorim is bang no to focus on developing the 2 first team strikers he's got he needs at least 1 of them to come good as he isn't going to be given the money to replace both of them this summer.

There are skills to work with in both players and as a coach he needs to show he can get the best out of them as we currently aren't seeing it.
