FFP requirement is my guess was the same with Fofana he signed a 6 year deal allows them to split them transfer fee over a longer period do smaller impact on this seasons numbers.
Benfica are right to kick off the release fee is quite clear that it’s paid in full up front. They may negotiate a small amount of it to be paid in instalments like they did with Nunez to Liverpool but Chelsea reportedly offered 1/3 up front with the rest as instalments.
I really don’t see how Fernandez solves their goal scoring issues although they also trying to go for Mudryk from Shakthar. Arsenal have been chasing him but the clubs are well apart on the fee, Shakthar apparently want €100m as that’s what we paid for Anthony.
Guess Chelsea signing BB ends their pursuit of Gvardiol then, despite numerous sources suggesting before the World Cup he had agreed terms with Chelsea, and that they were prepared to pay whatever it took to take him to Stamford Bridge.
I wouldn't be so quick to judge the new owners they took over at a difficult point in time for the club.
The squad was already a mess and Tuchel wasn't happy with it but they've got players they just can't shift. Also, all the directors and behind the scenes team packed up and left.
I don't think the new signings are bad signings they just don't address the main problem which is the attack. It's a very toothless attack you just don't see where goals can come from in that line up. They've signing Nkunku to come in the summer which should help he looks to be a real talent and I guess the positive is they are targeting a lot of young players.
They've appointed a new director of football who's come in having worked in the red bull setup so you'd expect Boehly to take more of a backseat role now.
As frustrating as it is they probably just need to write this season off and get the plans in place to sort everything out in the summer.
It would have been hard to turn down but I think it was the wrong call for Potter. He’s not a bad manager by any means but the club is in a bit of mess.
They seem to be hoovering up a lot of young talent of late but really need to some experienced heads in there.
I dunno as a manager when you get offered a job like that you have to take it, a few dodgy results for Brighton and the phone won’t be ringing next time.
They would be stupid to sack the manager when it’s really the directors who’ve failed to put the squad together.
Extending his contract allows the club to spread the remaining transfer fee over the longer contract period so it's likely just a bit of FFP management by Atletico as they're in trouble with La Liga.
There is talk that Simeone will be leaving at the end of the season.
According to Benfica they've ended their attempts to sign Fernandez.
Felix I think makes sense for Chelsea they've very short of goals so it's worth the gamble but they're going to need to put in a crazy run of results to make the top 4 now.
It's looking hard to see much of a future there for potter. Think it was risk a big club getting a manager with little experience. But a star for giving it a go.
I think he will make it one day.
Poch will be at Chelsea before the end of the season.
He was actually playing really well and think was enjoying the freedom of being the number 9. He may well have won them the game if it wasn’t for his red card.
