Yeah surprised bigger clubs weren’t in for him to be honest. I think he’ll be at Brighton for a few years and then move onto a club in the top four either in the EPL or another big league.

Injured 10 minutes into his debut.

Bad tackle and sounds like an injury to his ankle.

Impressive win at St James’ Park. Welbeck on the scoresheet again, his 5th Premier League goal of the season.

Looking to loan out Evan Ferguson in January.

His progress has stalled after that initial impact currently 3rd choice and fitness has been an issue.

Only if we had an option to buy at a cheap price. No point in us developing him if we don’t have a chance of keeping him.

Personally with the new manager he should be given time to work on Hojlund to see if he can turn him into a world class forward.

Seems like injuries and fitness issues have plagued him since his breakthrough season.

The money that was being banded about for him after a few good games was crazy and sure clubs are glad they stayed clear for the time being.

Sure he will come again because no doubt he is a talented lad. No better than Hojlund for me though.

I just don't see it, some thing you can't teach, he hsan't got that natural instinct of a top striker.

I dunno there's signs that there's something there but he needs to start showing it.

I'd give him a little bit more time but if he's not sorted it by the end of the season then the club needs to spend proper money on fixing that position which wouldn't be a player like Ferguson you're talking £100m on someone with a proven record.

I think so, depends on the price.

Clearly we have no money. He's better than what we have. I'd still go for David. Sesko seems to be available.

Should United be all over if the deal is a loan with an obligation to buy?

Do we really want to commit to buying a guy who's basically dropped off the radar for a year I'm guessing due to injury.

I think if we had the option to buy it might be worth a look but we need to have a way of getting out of the deal if it doesn't work out.

36 apps 6 goals last season
14 app 1 goal this season.

He has 13 in 59 in the league. Surely basically a league 1 player?

I dont think we should be looking at him he's got no more potential than Hojlund. If we are bringing anyone in it should be an experienced striker.

Great win against Newcastle in the cup.

A brilliant winning goal from Welbeck. He’s still a guy I don’t think we should ever got rid of. Shame LVG never really rated him.

Yeah, they'll be super pleased with that win. Wasn't a great game.

And yeah, we could use a Welbeck right about now.
