Manchester United 2-1 Swansea City - 2nd January 2016

His role was odd in the first half. He was supposed to be the right back, but spent most of the half on the wing. He was positive and his crossing was fantastic.

Our formation in the first half to me looked like a lop-sided 3-4-2-1.

Excellent game from him tonight. He used the space left for him brilliantly.

Ashley Young is playing up to his abilities atm, a bit one dimensional but uses his strenghts well. Shockingly he is the best man in the pitch for us where he normally simply isn't good enough for a United First Team.

He single handedly spurred United on against Swansea. His runs and crosses (that actually beat the first man) caused them problems and his energy down the wing helped win the game.

And that's why Rooney wants to move in to midfield! He started that move with a great pass but the deftness of that pass in to Young is nothing short of world class! Never mind the good touch and pretty composed finish... That goal owes everything to Rooney. It's one of those rare occasions where the assist should get more credit than the goal.
