Great news for Arsenal fans.

He's been a hell of a signing for them I didn't think he looked that great in the initial loan spell but since he's signed full time he's been excellent.

Mind can't have been easy for him turning down the Chelsea offer of a 13¾ year contract.

This is the current wording for accidental handball.
  • touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger. A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation. By having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised
All the stuff about proximity and deflection has been taken out of the rule. If your arm is up or away from the body and it gets hit they have to give the penalty. They seem to deem arms being out for balance when lunging as an unnatural position which is nonsense in my opinion.

The handball rule has to change

Never good when the family start speaking on behalf of the player my guess is he'll look for a move in January.

Does seem strange that they'd tie him down to a long deal on better wages then bring in a replacement wasn't like his current deal was expiring.

He must have felt that with a decent year this year at Arsenal he could have put some pressure on Pickford for the starting spot with England.
