With the greatest respect, I hope this thread isn’t used so much this season! He definitely has a fight on his hands to start games and he’s never really proven consistently he is a particularly impactful sub.

Some reports that Saudi Arabias Al Nasr are interested in him for around £30m.

I think he lacks maturity. So when he does come on as a sub, he's already defeated himself. He doesn't seem to see that as an opportunity, more a lack of respect/trust. If you ask me his mental state will have to change before he can do any type of job for us.

Think frustration gets the better of him at times.

He’s easily drawn into confrontations he doesn’t need to get involved in with opponents or crowds and rather than silence then with the ball he answers back.

Last season was a disaster for him had all the off field stuff going on which must have had an impact on him that seems to have died down now not sure if he’s been given the all clear.

That comes down to maturity again. He needs to grow up and realise what an opportunity he has right at his feet. As it will soon be gone, I fear. I still believe he has the tools to make it. Just play football and enjoy it.

Will be a hard thing for him to change he comes from a very rough neighbourhood and it’s that fight that probably got him to where he is now. I’d say a lot of that is hard wired into him he will always be a hot head.

He is still very young at 24 and a more settled life off the pitch would surely help him.

Ability wise I’m not so sure he’s quite got it for the very top level but he’s got another 12 months to prove me wrong and I hope he does.

No further action in Brazil over the allegations of beating up his girlfriend.

UK case remains open.

Walked out of the stadium in a protective boot, not sure what happened.

Reminded me a bit of the Martinez one in his first season.

From his reaction you could see it was probably pretty serious.

World class time wasting coming back on to be stretchered off though

Though the might see him used as a wing back but didn’t think it would be on the right.

Not sure that will be something we try again.

I think we might see him tried on the other side and in the front 3 at some point as he is a hard working player but on the ball he’s really struggling to impact games.

Thought he did okay considering. Do him no harm getting some minutes in his legs.

Seems to have an understanding with Mount.

Yeah didn’t think he was too bad to be honest. I thought he was decent on the ball and put in a good shift.

I must have been watching a different game, as I thought he didn't track back well enough.

He just looks so far off the level required.

Confidence is a big thing in football and he looks to have totally lost his and it’s really hard to see how he gets it back.

I'm clutching at straws, but it was a decent pass to Amad for the first goal, and that was his lot.

Could be a long term option at RWB? He struck up a little partnership with Amad during his cameo today. He’s had his criticism but you know he’s going to work his butt off which is something you cannot say about all our players.

Somehow he seems to be involved in some of our best moments. The Liverpool match and now even today.

It’s reached the point where I’m starting to feel a bit sorry for him.

Just shouldn’t be out on the pitch.

That miss was horrible luckily we went on to win.

Confidence is absolutely rock bottom

Why you would choose to fall onto the ball rather than stay on your feet for a simple tap-in, is beyond me.

Not just you its because he`s stupid, club needs to cut its losses...big losses on a fee but use his wages on someone else.

Would you pay him £25m to leave now as that’s what it will take. He’s on £10m a year apparently which is nuts.

We are properly stuck with him.

That miss last night was just an example of when a players confidence totally goes. You do silly things

I’ve not seen a replay, what did exactly did he do?

Rather than just tap it in the empty net with his left foot for some reason he tried to slide and put it in that way.

He ended up sliding past the ball and basically kicking it sideways from 2 yards out rather than forward.

There was no need to go to ground at all

he is worthless.

Just give him away and lose the wage, even then there will be few clubs coming in.

I honestly thought he was going to subbed off at one point
