He did have one wobble though, he could of been sent off. Other than that another solid performance.
Huh, if the Ref or VAR picked up on the hand ball he would hve been straight offIt was never a sending off not in a million years.
He was put in that position by his own player attempting a stupid pass.
He had to make the tackle and he did it.
I think they would have seen the hand ball but it was clearly an accidental one and in any case it wasn’t a denial of a clear goal scoring opportunity. Are all handles out of the box by a keeper a red card? Not sure of the exact rules to be honest but as there was a clear replay showing he handled the ball I presume VAR checked and cleared it.Huh, if the Ref or VAR picked up on the hand ball he would hve been straight off

Oh well if VAR checked itWell VAR checked it and said it wasn’t handball.
Read the current handball law and you’d see it is not considered handball.
Oh well if VAR checked it
Always thought keepers got a bum deal from Refs re. handball, it’s almost like you can handle the ball as many times as you like in your area but if you come out onto my field and handle it I will nail you.
My first instinct on seeing it live was oh shit he’s going off there, I didn’t blame Onana but the rules are the rules, and Refs on the Continent are brutal implying them, usually
The one with keepers that really tickles me, and is always a straight red, is the one where they start a slide with the ball in their hands inside the box but release it fractionally too late, how are you suppose to see the line sometimes in horrendous conditions when you are so low to the ground, maybe on your back, and there's usually bodies in the way as well, madnessThe current rule basically says if you go to ground and the ball hits your arm you are fine as long as the arm is being used to break your fall.
Onana got plenty on the ball but it then bounced around and hit his arm that was on the floor.
Yeah I like the English refs who just make it up as they go along
