7 in 10 players are abused, 1 in 12 abusive tweets relate to race or gender

Ciaran Clark received the highest % with 34% of tweets about him were abusive. But 78% of his abusive tweets arrived on one day, when he was sent off against Norwich,

Think the figures will be massively impacted by the size of Utd's fanbase and the fact the study was done during a period where Utd were a complete mess.

I'd be amazed if any player is still looking at their own social media accounts they're all managed by PR teams now as being online is just opening yourself up to toxic abuse.

Anything Utd post for example most of the responses are just horrible messages about players from random accounts.
