Big things were expected from him this season after the move from Madrid so how did "Champions League " Varane do?

A 4 from me not necessarily due to his performances which generally were very good he's a top class defender but the guy just can't stay fit he's played just over 1/2 of the league games this season, that is not good enough for a player on his sort of salary.

He needs to sort that out for next season we need to be able to call on him every week not in for 3 games out for 3 games which is kind of how it's been with him.

I went with a 5 which ultimately for a player of his ability and experience is very disappointing. Part of that score is down to his injuries and he played pretty well when he was in the team. I think he made a difference to the defense but I also don't think he was as good as hoped.

My favourite stat of the season is we only lost 1 game when Varane and Maguire started. But they only managed 11 games together between them.

On the pitch he's a class act but doesn't help us if he can't get on it.

Yep the injuries just felt like he never really got going the team managed 8 clean sheets this season in 38 league games and Varane played in 5 of those games.

The worry I have with the injuries is it wasn't 1 bad injury that kept him out for ages it was lots of little injuries that put him out for 2-3 weeks the medical team at the club need to try and do something about that as for a player like him he needs to be fit enough to play 60+ games a season for club and country.

Disappointing season. Even when fit he didn't seem up to the challenge. With his injuries curtailing most of this season, we should probably realize he's crocked. Sell.

Never really got going due to injuries, but a smooth operator when fit. Hoping for better next season.
