I'm right there with you. We've already got too many players who just fanny about without doing anything useful or impactful. Don't need another one, thank you very much.
 
What would be a fair amount to pay for him, will we mount a title challenge with him in the team, is it a none story and are the journalist just making a mountain out of a mole hill, and if the transfer does go ahead will we hear about it on Paramount TV first, and will you celebrate by going Mountaineering?????
 
I just read we want to pay 55m, which seems way too much to me, but they want 85m! :eek:

Anything over £30m and I'd back out.

Chelsea have to sell. We are in a position to strong arm them.
 
City paid 45m for Phillips last season in similar circumstances, that is where I’d value him.

It surprised me some of the negative comments here regarding us potentially signing Mount. Wonder if it was a knee jerk reaction and opinions may now be better considered and somewhat softened? I think he would be a very good signing and within the right age group that we need to be presently making signings.

Agree, and I genuinely believe a lot of the negativity is because he's English, that and he'd be considered a Chelsea reject.
 
Didn't hear either of you mention going for him before the press did. In fact, didn't hear anyone mention getting him. Probably because he's not better than say, Fred

Well I agree it wouldnt have occurred to me. I dont like Chelsea and never look in that direction. That doesn't mean were not entitled to be open to the move once the potential has been presented to us.
And it's Said Fred, Right!
 
In one of the red tops today, they print his stats, which are pretty poor to be honest.

I really don't understand this signing if it goes through. But yes, of course we hope he does well if it does.

Just seems a bit a of waste of money to me, not really the improvement we are looking for, more like sameness.
