The FA Cup Final 2023: Manchester United Vs Manchester City - Saturday 3rd June 15.00 KO

we did it in 1977 and stopped Liverpool from doing the treble and despite everyone writing us off i dont think we should be underestimated. The right attitude on the pitch and we can take this

The difference being the general feeling in '77 of the match-going fans at least was that we'd win whoever we were playing, we followed the Doc and he had promised us after the '76 Final defeat we'd be back the following season to win the cup ....

This time it's weird, if you're out and about and casually say to somebody that you think United WILL beat City they look at you as though you've got two heads, or mutter Kin Weirdo - it's a game of football ffs, if City turn up and are at their very best they should win, possibly comfortably, but if they don't it's game on.

Expecting it to be game on.

Hoping Weghorst has been busy practicing his goal celebration, something to remember him by. A head slide straight into the City coaching staff would be nice, skittles!

We need the MANCHESTER IS RED banner unfurling in the City end just before kick-off again.

Just hit the oh shit what if we lose time, normally reserved for abide with me, ah well plenty of time to slap myself out of it.

What channel will you guys be watching on? I think I will plump for ITV, the only down side being McCoist is part of the commentary

No, sadly my match-going days are long since gone. Just noticed that sometimes you post from Old Trafford and hoped you'd manage to get yourself a ticket.
I couldn’t apply for tickets because I opted out of the league cup. I was unable to scrounge a ticket

Not looking forward to this at all. I've resigned myself to losing as a self protection mechanism, I just don't want to get embarrassed. My fear is we're 2-0 down within 25 min, or we make it to half time and then concede early doors in the second half and heads drop and we get pumped.

Oh right. Bummer though innit as you know there will be 100's there today that haven't set foot in Old Trafford, Maine Road or the Etihad in their lives ....

Me heads mashed and I haven't started drinking yet, anybody know who Elanga has replaced in the 9 on the bench?

Would have preferred Shaw next to Varane with Dalot or Malacia at left-back ....

Lindelof man of the match then.

Should have added a poll, bet you are struggling to keep on top of the replies.

BBC for me, but if the commentary team get on my t*ts i'll switch to ITV or Al Jazeera.

You're fooling no one, you'll be sat in front of the TV in your United pj's drinking extra-strong Coffee in your over-sized United mug from 08:30 constantly switching between ITV and BBC watching the players take a gentle stroll around London, ex-players interviews, and so on, then when the helicopter follows the team bus to Wembley you'll passionately go through the United songbook to the annoyance of everybody unfortunate enough to be in the vicinity, hum along to Abide with Me because you only know a few words, then pick your miniature Dog up and take him/her for walkies and conveniently leave your mobile at home ....
I don't know why they sing that shite! it's like a funeral.
