rumour yesterday was that Maguire could be on his way to Paris

I mean if Conte rolls up to PSG then Neymar, Messi and Mbappe aren't going to be happy.

I mean imagine having a manager who actually makes you run around a bit.

My guess is he goes back to Italy takes a bit of time off and see what jobs come up over there.

Juventus might have him back as Allegri is unlikely to stay long term. He might see how the next euro's go and have another run with the national team.

I know he's not everyone's cup of tea but I think he's a very good manager just hasn't worked out at Spurs they haven't got the money to do what is needed which is to totally rip that squad apart and rebuild it.

I'm sure Mbappe would be happy to put a shift in; he worked his socks off in the WC.

Conte is just what PSG need. Well, that and getting shot of Neymar.

I don't know if it is just me but I have never got the whole Neymar thing, he's a good player but have never thought he was anything special.

Neymar was an incredible player at Barcelona teams kick lumps out him and he dives around a bit but generally that's because his feet where so quick that defenders couldn't get near him without fouling him and he scored a crazy number of goals.

PSG has made him worse they indulge him and allow him to get away with only playing when they have the ball he would work incredibly hard off the ball at Barcelona and he just doesn't do it anymore.

Conte was celebrating a win when they got the third goal. A proper feck up to drop points in that manner when they could have moved into third.

I mean, he’s not wrong but wow!!

Conte is basically begging to be sacked. He may have his thoughts but you cannot rip into your players and the people paying your huge wages. Glad we didn’t go anywhere near him when looking for a new coach.

A fair portion of United fans condemned Fergie for not speaking out against the Glazers.
So are you saying Fergie was right not to do so?

He is clearly fed up of working with these players and wants to be sacked.

@SuperRash did you miss this one,or did you just not like the question?
Are you asking me whether it was right Fergie didn’t speak out against the Glazers when he was boss? Of course he wasn’t going to speak out about his bosses, and he said previously that if he ever wanted a player, the Glazers would more often that not sanction the deal.

You don’t just come out and criticise your boss, whether it’s in football or any industry. The guys like Evra, Neville, Ferdinand etc have strong views and thoughts now but only after they have left the club.

So while we would have loved to see Fergie speak out against the ownership, it simply wasn’t going to happen.

Agreed, the fans that slated Fergie for not hitting out against the Glazers were very misguided.

Conte got what he wanted in the end. The fact it is being reported as mutual consent just proves that his little outburst was a play to get out.

I agree that top four will be difficult and they are so reliant on Kane that if he gets injured for a couple of games or loses form then they are done.

It's always reported as mutual consent now days. He'll get a pay off. Surprising Spurs are keeping his back room staff on board. Or that they're staying. Usually follow him around.

I guess his coaching staff will leave at the end of the season.

I can’t remember seeing many of the sackings in the EPL being by mutual consent of late. It’s usually pretty concrete as one way. In this instance it was more than definitely by mutual consent - Conte probably wanted it more than Spurs did.

Presume Nagelsmann and Pochettino will be the hot favourites.

Must be Nagelsmann I'd say, if it was Poch they would have moved for him.

Mutual consent probably applies to 99% of dismissals. It's basically a technicality because for you to get out of the contract it needs to be by mutual agreement to terminate a contract, it allows both sides a quick break that avoids potential court cases in the future from either party. For the club to not go down this route they can basically put you on gardening leave and pay you to stay home or terminate the deal immediately and pay you the whole balance owed on the contract in 1 lump sum.

Mutual Consent is essentially the legal wording for sacked by the club but paid off to avoid future legal actions by either party.

I'm not sure Nagelsmann will take it he'd be wise to wait for something else to come up my guess is Poch will return in the summer and they'll stick it out with the current coaching staff for the rest of the season.

Sporting Director Fabio Paratici has had his ban from the Italian FA confirmed as a worldwide ban by FIFA.

Paratici was at Juventus at the time when they've been accused of dodgy accounting.

Assuming he's the man making decisions doesn't help Spurs hunt for a new manager and the work they're doing ahead of the summer in terms of signings as he'll now be forced to step aside.

Vincent Kompany is apparently the number 1 choice to takeover as manager in the summer.

Now might be a good time for a cheeky phone call to Harry Kane’s agent if we are interested

I'm not sure about Kane either. I wouldn't be upset if we got him, but im not certain he's the right choice long term

That would have been us a few weeks ago if Newcastle had their shooting boots on.

Destroyed today and they look like a side who’ve given up under a manager they know has no future at the club. Very reminiscent of us under Rangnick last season.

Stellini sacked.

Now looking for an interim interim manager.

An interim for the interim - how very Spurs.

Watch us go lose to them on Thursday! :p

Guess Ryan Mason will manage the remaining games unless they're going to do something crazy like bring in Rafa or Redknapp to the end of the season.

Who have embarrassed themselves more this season, Spurs or Chelsea? Both have sacked managers and brought in caretakers who haven't had any positive impact. Chelsea have spent boatloads while Spurs have had boardroom turmoil and have had to sack their interim manager after conceding a boatload. As least Chelsea haven't gotten a hiding off of anyone.

If only Spurs would give it Jamie Redknapp till the end of the season.
