I reckon we'll see plenty of changes for this one the team looks very tired after a heavy schedule after the world cup think we've played 10 games in the last month and there's no sign of that stopping.

It's basically 2 games per week until May for us so I think the FA Cup will be where we see rotation.

Dalot is out, Shaw is a doubt, Sancho they'll decide after training today (to me that sounds like a yes), Maguire is back from his ban and there was no mention on Martial.

Butland

Williams Maguire Martinez Malacia

McTominay Fred

Anthony Bruno Garnacho

Weghorst

Think it'll be something like in the last few games I think AWB, Eriksen, Rashford have looked tired so give them a bit of a rest.

Think we may see Casemiro play just to lend some experience into the side. And he did get a little rest against Arsenal and will probably get a rest vs Forest as well.

Butland

Williams - Maguire - Lindelof - Malacia

Casemiro - Fred - Mainoo

Antony - Martial - Garnacho
This line up is presuming Martial is fit which is always a hefty presumption!

I forgot Mainoo we may see him start hopefully in the midfield rather than behind the striker as Bruno could do with the night off.

Williams, Maguire, Lindelof, Malacia at the back, McT and Mainoo behind Fred. Elanga, and Pellistri out wide.

Give Sancho 45 minutes.

Think EtH will go with a much stronger team than some might expect then rotate slightly against Forest in the 2nd Leg on Wednesday.

Butland and Pellistri might start tomorrow, but that's about it.

Got to get the job done tomorrow, don’t want a replay in an already chokka fixture list!

Reading will be no pushovers, they've got plenty of Premier League experience in their squad, and if we go into it thinking it's 'only' Reading we will come unstuck whatever team EtH picks, it's a bit like an FA Cup match in a way ....

Zidane Iqbal played the full match for the 21s last night so unlikely to be involved, with a place on the bench an outside chance.

Not sure I'd play Butland, but I think you're right about the strength of the side we're going to see. ETH doesn't like to rotate too heavily or take much of anything for granted so I think it'll be a strong side with an eye to resting those who play tomorrow in the second leg.

Think EtH needs to play him in one of the next two games just to see how he goes, and there'd be far less pressure on him today.

I would need my memory refreshing on when we played 20.00 Saturday night. Was that the time the team bus got stuck in traffic.

That was on a Tuesday.

There's been a few FA Cup ties this and last season at 20:00 on a Saturday, when they were trying to catch up on fixtures after the first Covid outbreak and there were numerous kick-off times virtually every day of the week the 20:00 slot on Saturday was popular for some reason.

Manchester United, biggest audience, kerching.

I don't recall us playing at 20.00 on a Saturday before and I don't miss a game. I guess for such fixtures for other teams it wouldnt register with me so much.

Liverpool Vs Wolves 2 weeks ago was an 8pm kick off on a Saturday.

It's a new kick off spot that's been used this season along with the Friday night football we got a couple of seasons ago.

Obviously we also had it during covid as JC mentions above.

I doubt it will be long before we are the same way as La Liga. Where all 10 kick off times are different. 1 Friday night KO time. 4 Saturday 4 Sunday 1 Monday every weekend.

I worry about bringing in an untested keeper with second string defenders ahead of him, because he's probably going to have more to do. Not that there's much reason to suggest he can't do it, I just worry. LOL

Really looking forward to a proper cup match now. I hope The Horse starts and gets another confidence boosting goal (or two)

SkyBet offering 13/2 for The Horse to score a header. Why wouldn't ya! thats the best bet you will get all day. On this game anyhows.

HEATON
MARTINEZ
FRED
VARANE
PELLISTRI
WILLIAMS
ELANGA
GARNACHO
MAINOO

McTominay in Spain set to complete a £175m move to Real Madrid(never heard of 'em)

Loneliest place on the pitch, if he had played today and thrown one in early he's experienced enough to recover(or i'd like to think so), throw one in early on Wednesday and his head would be full of the thoughts he was gonna go down in folklore as the keeper who melted on his debut and was responsible for United losing a 0-3 advantage, at home.

McTom has a minor knock and EtH didn't think it was worth risking him, hopes he's available for Wednesday.

Shaw still got the ballroom blitz.

Created some good chances but so far a reading body is always in the way to block it, haven’t really created a clear cut chance yet.

The ever so confusing offside rule in action again there.

Surely that block by the defender is an intentional act and therefore a new phase of play?
