During the six games played in November, John Cofie made just one appearance in his loan spell at Sheffield United. It was during a convincing 4-1 home win against fellow promotion hopefuls Stevenage, where he was brought on in the 89th minute to replace two goal hero Shaun Miller. Sadly, due to the limited time on the field he didn’t actually get a touch of the ball.
He was an unused substitute in a win against Bristol Rovers (FA Cup), a 0-0 draw away at Swindon Town, a 3-3 draw with Crewe Alexandra and a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Brentford. He missed out on the 1-0 defeat at MK Dons on the 10th November with a slight groin problem.
The month of November was a bit more of a struggle for the Blades and they now lie 4th in the table with 36 points from 20 games.
Opportunities are becoming a bit limited for the youngster at the moment with the likes of Nick Blackman and Shaun Miller ahead of him in the pecking order, so it may be a while until he gets another chance if those two keep performing (Miller has scored 3 in 3 and Blackman is top scorer with 8 league goals) or if indeed he gets recalled due to a lack of game time which I personally feel is a very likely outcome.
