Loan Watch (October): Lilywhites Fan On Matty James and Joshua King

With both players being injured during the Burnley game back in September, this month was a comeback of sorts for both James and King.

King had an ankle problem which he has had previously. He came back in the away defeat to Derby, starting the game but looking increasingly unfit as the game wore on. He then managed to play only a few days later in the midweek game against Scunthorpe but clearly lacking fitness, he took a knock on his ankle and is now out until the middle of November. His loan spell ends in November and so Preston are trying to seek an extension to the loan period as he has been injured for almost half of it!

James came back towards the end of the month. He started in the victory over Palace followed by the defeat to Leicester at the weekend. He should now be a permanent fixture once again, now that he looks to have overcome his injury.
