Young Striker from RB Salzsburg.

Anyone heard much about him.

Seen some crazy numbers around this kid 50m euro transfer fee for a guy who's 19 and only play 41 games for Salzburg.

Sometimes you just have to look at a guy and if you like him you might have to take a gamble on him. United have a bit of previous for not taking that sort of gamble and waiting to see if he has a good second or third season. Then his price has almost doubled and every man and his dog want him.

For me, he will happen only if Ronaldo go.
We must be ready for a deadline day transfer with this one.

Could be a case of striking a deal where we send him back to Salzburg for a year and he comes when Ronaldo has gone. Although he could still go in this window I guess.

If he’s been scouted and he’s rated then just got to go spend the money. No point waiting a year or two and he’s worth £80-90m.

Salzburg is a selling club.
I expect a fee between 30 and 50 max

Salzburg will set the price as there’s no release clause in his contract. The top young strikers who are 2-3 years ahead of this guy are all moving for around 80m euros my guess is they’ll be using that as a guide to set their price.

Unless the players starts kicking off there isn’t massive pressure to sell and they’ll need to have their replacement lined up.

This isn't a dig at Utd but signing for us or any top premier league club unless he's already a world class centre forward would be a mistake.

The jump he is making is huge unless he's good enough to go straight into our first team.

Everyone I've asked that's actually watched him thinks he's going to be incredible. I've never seen him myself but haven't had anyone doubt how good he is. Sounds like a top talent from what I'm being told and if £45m is the price just get the deal done.

I just think to be a centre forward in the premier league at 19 you need to be a Rooney level player ie at 19 years old you are already one of the best players in the world in your position.

Man Utd should have a centre forward that is genuinely considered in the top 10 in the world.

We keep messing about in this position between super young and super old players they need to nail the signing of a quality centre forward who's either in his prime or about to hit it.

I can't say if this kid is or isn't it but if he wants to fulfil his potential he needs to keep playing first team football to me these kids need to look at what Haaland did and make the jump to a league like Germany before attacking the top leagues.

Who are top 10 CF in the world though? There just aren't that many out there in their prime. They're all aging.

Liverpool have just taken a £100m gamble on Nunez.

Lukaku probably makes the cut and he's been and failed and come back to the league and failed.

Weird @ JSP, you always bang on about we shouldn't be buying players at 80m but getting them the move before. To do that you need to gamble. At 45m for this kid it sounds like it's very worth a punt.

It was more a comment about the player and his development.

I just don't think this Utd side is a good place for a 19 year old striker to fulfil his potential as the pressure is massive and the defenders in this league are the best around so if you aren't ready you'll be eaten alive.

Utd in my opinion were probably going with older guys to fill the spot while Greenwood developed into what they hoped would be a world class centre forward that plan is now out the window. I think starting again with a young kid is a massive gamble and if this was a proper target and potential superstar why have we waiting until August to go for him?

Think you need to upgrade your broadband mate, we've been linked to the Sesko Kid since Ralf the Kingmaker was in charge.

Easy to miss a name when we're linked with 100 players but I can confidently say until about a week ago I'd never heard of this kid.

Depends how closely you follow other Leagues I guess, but it's usually easy to filter out the God I hope that is true, from the Mmm maybes, from the nah seriously doubt its, and the never in a million bloody years.

With Sesko the instinct should have been I wonder who this Sesko Kid is, and if that doesn't bookmark it somewhere in your mind, nothing will.

These days I can just about follow the Premier League.

6 months ago we were linked with anyone that played for a red bull club because of Rangnick so I just skipped past all of it.

And rightly so as they do seem to have a drop on the very best young players, certainly in Europe any way.

Not sure how though as I doubt it's all down to scouting.

They invest in top coaches of young talent and pay big money for young talent but we only hear about the ones that make it through the system and nothing of the ones who don’t. They also pay agents big fees and accept buyout clauses without this there no way they get Haaland from Molde.

Red Bull Werner hasn’t been a big hit, Upanekano struggled First season at Bayern as did Sabitzer so it isn’t always glory glory red bull.

Well obviously some fall by the wayside, but all the clubs in the Red Bull group are able to sign young players that wouldn't have looked at said clubs twice prior to the money coming in. So something is going on somewhere, and it can't just be obscene wages or they wouldn't be able to move them on, unless they stayed in the group, which obviously most don't.

not wages but transfer fees to other clubs in Europe where money is tight.

They are a talent factory it’s what they’ve built their reputation on come here we will polish those rough edges and help you move the ladder that is their business model. If you are a young player in a small nation in Europe and they come knocking you’d be a fool not to go there.

I don’t know for sure but I get the impression their tactic is get as much talent as possible stick them all in competition with each other and see who comes out on top.

Nah, I think there are former Stasi members working in the football side of the Red Bull empire based in Leipzig(East Germany) and like the Mounties they always get their man, or in these cases the boy, and it's probably best I leave it there or I might be 'vanished'

And we wouldn't want that would we.

Looks like United are going to miss out on another... at this point what the actual F are they doing?

Looks to be on his way to Leipzig.

This is the natural progression of players in the Red Bull group. Happened a few times over the last few years with the likes of Keita and Upamecano.

Don’t sweat, we will spend £100m on him in a couple of years.

Doing better business than united then.

Who needs Sesko and Werner when you can have Rabiot and Arnautovic :(

Sad times
