I must be doing it wrong, when I shut my dominant eye I saw two right shoes.

Talk about blowing minds, here's a very off subject one for you that I was told today which admittedly did blow mine a tad...

Put your hands out in front of you and make a sort of triangle shape with the opening of your hands and focus on an object in the distance, when you close your non dominant eye, you can still see the object, but when you shut your dominant eye the object disappears behind your hands.

I'm here all week lads.
I think we need some signings or football action - we’ve all entered a state of delirium!

The Athletic are reporting this is done. He's eventually chosen us over Brentford.

Guess it gives Bruno a break for the Europa League games but would rather see youngsters get those minutes though.

Hopefully he can stay fit and chip in with some assist.

Think with the 5 sub rule coming in and the busy schedule we'll need some depth in the squad.

Just seen it's a 3 year contract. Wow.

Nice, unlike a few on here, I'm really pleased about this, looking forward to seeing him in a united shirt.

Got to be an attractive proposition to the player. Cannot just be offering a one year deal to a 30 year old. It’s not like he’s 36 and coming to the end of his career.

Pretty happy with this, will add some more quality and numbers to the midfield.

Surprised at the length of the contract.

He is only 30 but he's also had a heart attack and plays with a built in defib.

I think it is a gamble he's a player who'd been on the slide for a few years there's nothing really that suggests he'll get back to his best but he's on a free and we're really short on numbers so lets see how it goes.

Saw pictures of him at the medical centre yesterday

Apparently the delayed announcement is because he's required to do a much more extensive medical than players normally do so this is all being arranged at the moment.

The club are confident that there won't be any issues and hope to have the deal done this week so he can join the team in Australia for the second part of the pre season tour.

Think it’ll be a big week.

Eriksen signs, deal for de Jong done and dusted and maybe Martinez or Antony.

How does anyone enjoy the transfer window it's by far the worst part of the season.

The rumour and speculation is endless and so much of it is complete garbage and people lose their minds over it.

It's the Hope that kill us.
With all the free transfer expected and ETH coming, i was expecting a very busy summer but it's all quiet. Instead of exciting New players, we have rumors of more departure (Ronaldo).

It's mid July there's 4 weeks before our first game and 6 weeks before the window closes.

We've got 1 signing through the door, 1 deal agreed subject to medical (Eriksen) and seem in a pretty good position to land 2 more (De Jong and Martinez).

Loads of problems within the squad solved by departures so yeah it's not absolutely perfect but we're in a good spot I think.

Would have been nice to have the new players out on the tour but FDJ and Martinez both know the system already so if we can get them through the door before the games start I'd be happy.

Prefer the good ol days when apart from a month at the end of the season you could sign players for 330+ days of the year.

I think they should go back to something closer to the old system. Open the window in July and then shut it at the end of January gives clubs a lot more freedom and stops panic buying which pushes up fees.

It doesn't matter when the windows shuts, there will be panic.
I see the benefit in the big clubs not being able to undermine the smaller clubs mid season.
I don't mind the window, it's the press that is annoying

More clubs have gone out of business, and more have come close to going out of business since they introduced the two transfer windows than ever before, coincidence probably not.

Anyho don't want to derail the thread any further, so welcome to the Theatre of Dreams(and Nightmares)Christian.

How is this still not done? He's a free agent, he has reportedly chosen us so what the hell is going on? Get his medical done and sign him. Always these long, drawn out dramas with United

It's been stated it's because he needs to do a more extensive medical because of his heart condition. Good idea to do our due diligence on a guy who we are handing a 3 yr contract totalling £30m whose recently had a heart attack and died on the pitch.

Sadly I think clubs going out of business is probably down to a lack of regulation over who can buy football clubs and proper governance and control over the way they are run. Most clubs that went bust were a result of terrible owners who made poor decisions some chased the dream others were a lot more devious in their behaviour.

That's always been the case.
