Not sure that this is a good appointment by Belgium who really needed a manager with a proven track record to capitalise on this "golden generation" that Belgium have at the moment.
 
I actually think Martinez will do pretty well, Belgium have a very good squad with plenty of good youngsters coming through. It's definitely one of the more desirable jobs in the International game right now. He may have had a poor time of it in his latter time at Everton but I think he'll succeed for Belgium.
 
Terrible appointment this. Martinez does not have an ounce of defensive strategy in him. His teams are going to be very poorly organized defensively. International teams with poor or porous defenses never win anything.

Exactly because in tournament football you need to be able to defend well. Have Belgium not learnt anything from the Euros? And from Leicester last season?
