This truly made my day. I literally will never tire of hearing some of the most heralded footballers of our generation sing the praises of Paul Scholes. Zidane played with Ronaldo (the fat one), Figo, Makalele, Roberto Carlos, Theiry Henry, Patrick Viera, Del Piero, Nedved, the list goes on and on. The one player he regrets not playing along side is our very own Scholesy. As a United fan, that makes me very proud.

All this praise for Scholes coming now at the end of his career is proof of how underrated he was. Hes been this good his whole career, but outside praise only comes when hes 35

For me Scholes is one of the most underrated players, most probably due to his modesty and quiet persona. I think I could probably count on both hands the amount of times I've seen him get interviewed. The word gets used too much but he truly is a footballing legend.

Giggs, Keane, Scholes, Zidane and Beckham in a 5 man midfield. If only they were all 10 years younger.
