It's embarrassing actually. There's no spark, no real finisher but also nobody really creating those clear cut chances either.

Truth is currently these players are just not good enough.

Technically none of them are amazing
Physically fitness has been a problem for all of them
Tactically they make poor runs that don’t threaten defenders
Instinct they don’t anticipate errors and pounce on them

I think they all try hard and give it their best but their best isn’t good enough.

Lingard & Periera need to be replaced.

James needs to be given time but it looks promising

Martial & Rashford need to grab the chance that is in front of them with no senior attacking options in the squad.

Martial needs to get fit and stay fit, develop the strikers instinct in the box to grab the easy goals and work on his link play if he wants to be a top number 9.

I also feel we have lacked an attacking plan we are a team who looks like they spend all week working on how not to concede goals rather than working on how to score goals.

With the players we have I honestly don't think we can improve much going forward unless Martial makes a massive difference once he's fit the talent just isn't there.

We are going to have to get bloody good at defending otherwise we are getting stuck in mid table.

In other words a pretty fair reflection of where we find ourselves in the table. 10th is absolutely fair for us and has nothing to do with bad luck. This is a poor team who, as I said before the season started, will struggle to make top 6 and in fact may be looking 7-10th.

We are crying out for Martial to be back in the team. Against Chelsea and Wolves we actually looked pretty decent going forward and a threat with him, Rashford, Pogba and James. But since he’s gone we have been awful. Whilst one player won’t change everything we have definitely missed the little spark he can give us. He can be woefully inconsistent but he started out the season well as a number 9 and his injury (whatever it maybe) came at the wrong time.

Pinning your hopes on a guy who misses plenty of games with injuries and is inconsistent when he does play how bad have things got.

7th for chances created
17th for big chances created
12th for shots inside penalty area
9th for shots on target
