The four players in question: Sancho, Maddison, Chilwell and Rice.

They’d all be fantastic signings but you’re paying about £350m to pull that off now. But young, British talent. That’s the new club ethos in the transfer market and that’s good to see.

Wouldn't have to many complaints about those signings but as IDFD said that's £350m outlay on 4 players because you are paying the English player tax on all of them and a premier league tax on 3 of them.

Utd have to cast the net all across the world to find players we can't just look on our doorstep.

I mean Maddison as a 10 solves a big problem in terms of the lack of specialist for that role but assuming Pogba & Matic go in the summer which is very likely I don't think 1 midfield signing will be enough.

We needed 1 this summer if 2 more go then we potentially need 3 next summer I still don't really get how we didn't go for Tielemens this summer given his price and our need for a Herrera replacement.

Never going to happen. Dream on Ed.

Leicester will finish above us in the table and Maddison should be advised to stay put or wait for one of the other big clubs. Sancho? Ha dream on. Chilwell? Again Leicester player, do we think they'll let us strip them of all their best players seriously?

Agree here Rich, I really dont think Sancho is obtainable for us at this present time unfortunately, Leicester did sell us Maguire but at a big price. Rice is the most likely of these players, would be happy with him, IMO he outplayed Pogba when we played West Ham in one of the 2 league games last year.

It’s wrong to just target young British players. Sure it’s good to have a core of British but we cannot just have that. Like jsp said above we need to cast our net wide around the world, find the next Ronaldo, the next De Bruyne or whoever. It would be completely wrong to target just British and I do hope that our scouts are looking far wider than just our own doorstep.

We would need to have a very good season here on in to convince Sancho to come. If we were in the CL then yes but if we scrape in the Europa or miss out completely then our chances are little to none I reckon.
