That's a fair point but that was different times a long time ago Leicester like all the clubs now rely on these big sales for any profit and reinvestment. Leicester would argue that those deals worked both ways yes Leicester benefitted on the pitch with those players but Utd also benefitted from the chances they were given.Main issue is a lack of pace but he's got a lot of other attributes that will work well alongside Lindelof. Phelan knows him well from Hull and there's talk that he could become captain in the future.
As for the price, it's probably double what he's actually worth but teams like Leicester are in such a financially strong position and will demand that sort of money for their players. Have no doubt that Chilwell and possibly Maddison too would be elsewhere if Leicester weren't in such a position. Frustrating though as we've helped Leicester a fair bit in the last decade especially when they were out of the Premier League with Cleverley, Matty James, De Laet, Drinkwater, Lawrence, Powell, Lingard and Keane all playing for them either on loan or sold and you'd like to see a bit of something coming back our way.
