Absolutely ridiculous. We've paid some pretty big wages to utter trash. Yet one of the few players who give a frig and we let go.
Had we let Smalling, Jones, Young go it would have made no difference with Herrera as he wanted big wages.
Perhaps not but I don't see why we are happy to overpay for some of those useless good for nothings and not Herrera.
I don't think we are over paying for them they are getting pretty much the going rate to hopefully be squad players next season plus we don't need to pay transfer fees to have them.
As I said I'd have called time of Jones but I can see the sense in keeping the other 2 around next season.
Any money we give to Jones is overpaying. That guy should be long gone.

Who will actually buy him though? I imagine Utd would have been happy to listen to offers for him for the last 5 summers but I don't think he'd be on anyones radar because you just can't rely on him. I would say on pure ability he's one of our stronger defenders but he only plays half the games because he's never fit and by the time he gets into his rhythm he's out injured again.
Young is on £120k a week. We’re definitely overpaying him. Only Sanchez Lukaku De Gea Pogba Shaw and Mata (He’s probably off) earn more.
Shaws the highest paid defender in the league. Meaning we have the highest paid GK Def and Striker in the league. They’re all being massively overpaid. At least they’re getting hit in the pocket for the poor season.
In that case I’ll stop blaming the club for not keeping him. That’s a gross overpayment for him.
Interesting his recent comments about Mourinho where he absolves him of all blame and says it was the players responsibility it didn’t work.
