He can say all he wants but he tried to hold us to ransom on a new contract asking for bigger wages.

Good luck to him at PSG not a player we need to be losing but was never really convinced he was a reliable player for long period like so many was a player who had hot and cold streaks.

Reliable in the big games though and there’s not many in the current squad who can say that a lot of the better performances in the 5 seasons he was here came when he was in the team.

Played his role in the 3 trophies we’ve won since Fergie so you can’t throw to much hate his way.

Did well here but we can definitely upgrade him but we just need to get it right in the market.

Always did his utmost for us and has been one of the few performing players over the last few years. Always admired his commitment and guts but hey ho he wanted more money and we didn’t want to give it.

Think it’s pretty much a given he’ll be going to PSG and sure he’ll win a few titles in that league.

What send off do you think he’ll get tomorrow if he plays? A thanks for all he’s done or a meh see ya.

I like ander and would have preferred him to stay but in truth I would have wanted him in the squad rather than a starter. We can definitely upgrade on him.

Absolutely ridiculous. We've paid some pretty big wages to utter trash. Yet one of the few players who give a frig and we let go.

We didn’t let him go he got a better offer to go elsewhere.

The ones who stay know this is as good as it gets for them.

Had we let Smalling, Jones, Young go it would have made no difference with Herrera as he wanted big wages.

The mistake was not tying him down 2 seasons ago when he got that player of the year award but club policy seems to be run deals down and don’t renew early. A lack of stability in management and experienced football administration at board level probably responsible for that.

Perhaps not but I don't see why we are happy to overpay for some of those useless good for nothings and not Herrera.

I don't think we are over paying for them they are getting pretty much the going rate to hopefully be squad players next season plus we don't need to pay transfer fees to have them.

As I said I'd have called time of Jones but I can see the sense in keeping the other 2 around next season.

Any money we give to Jones is overpaying. That guy should be long gone.

Who will actually buy him though? I imagine Utd would have been happy to listen to offers for him for the last 5 summers but I don't think he'd be on anyones radar because you just can't rely on him. I would say on pure ability he's one of our stronger defenders but he only plays half the games because he's never fit and by the time he gets into his rhythm he's out injured again.

Young is on £120k a week. We’re definitely overpaying him. Only Sanchez Lukaku De Gea Pogba Shaw and Mata (He’s probably off) earn more.

Shaws the highest paid defender in the league. Meaning we have the highest paid GK Def and Striker in the league. They’re all being massively overpaid. At least they’re getting hit in the pocket for the poor season.

Let him leave on a free. But regardless a team would sign him because there's always a team that would buy a United player.

Letting Young go means probably buying 2 new RB's and 1 new LB and leaves us very short of senior players in a dressing room where it's clear professionalism is an issue. I think he's worth keeping for 1 more season as I think he does set a good example even if he is very limited as a player.

You forgetting Martial & Rojo on new deals both rumoured to be above £120k be surprised if Matic is on less than that but we don't really know what players earn but Young didn't get a pay rise on his deal he just got another year so I don't really see the problem.

In that case I’ll stop blaming the club for not keeping him. That’s a gross overpayment for him.

Interesting his recent comments about Mourinho where he absolves him of all blame and says it was the players responsibility it didn’t work.

Guess you never know where your old boss might turn up Tuchel isn't exactly mr popular at PSG.

Good to see him taking responsibility by trebling his money to go and play for PSG next season.

I don't think a single player has come out and laid blame with Mourinho because they know it won't work it's an easy thing to say after the event but they had a whole season to do something about it.

Yeah I did think with him saying that I wonder if Mourinho is being linked with PSG.

He’d probably be the perfect manager for them. They walk the league every season anyway and he’s a bit of a cup specialist.

If he’s getting £300k a week much like Ramsay at Arsenal you can’t blame them for going. If you or I were offered treble our wages we’d say see you later to our current employers in the blink of an eye.

I don't blame him for taking it if that was on offer fair play to him for snapping it up he's a good player but he's not that good.

Given our current issues regarding wages and contracts putting him on a salary like that would have created even more problems he'd be earning more than any centre mid in the league apart from Pogba and I still never really saw Herrera as an absolute nailed on starter in every game.

I'm sure Utd made him a good offer but in the clubs hour of need he's walked away and that little video thing he put out just made me cringe I don't really understand why the club signed off on that just desperate for the social media interactions I guess.

I'm not sure Mourinho would work at PSG yeah they'll walk the league but I think he'll have problems with the dressing room there because it's so ego driven I think he'd fall out with players very quickly and like Utd he will be restricted on who he can and can't sell. I think that's why Ancellotti worked so well at PSG because he knew how to manage that sort of environment and still get everyone to work together.

The is the clubs fault, you leave a contract to go that low then other clubs can offer stupid wages because they save on fee.

It's a shame we have lost him
