Be interesting to see how he does apparently the Belgium strikers loved working with him told them lots of little things to try and improve them.

That’s part of the job but tactically can he get his message over to the players.

I never had Henry down as a manager, so I'd be interested to see how he gets on.

It's all about how you take on the teaching element of it some great ex players have no problem communicating their ideas to players and showing them how to do something others struggle because they can't understand why players can't do what they could do.

This apparently was one of Hoddle's major problems and it was the same for Keane they just couldn't understand why you couldn't do something that was so simple and easy for them to do but the players they worked with just couldn't do it because they're not world class footballers.

5 games in 0 wins. Just lost 4-0 at home to Brugge

Just having a look at the French table. Monaco are still in the relegation zone with 14 points from 19 games. 4 points from safety. Last season they finished 2nd on 80 points 43 clear of releation. The season before they won it with 95 points. 59 points clear of relegation. Is this the biggest implosion we've seen?

Sold pretty much all their remaining top players Fabino, Moutinho & Lemar.

Most of the older/experienced players have been injured this season and they're having to play kids that just aren't ready.

They're attempting to patch things up a bit now getting in Fabregas, Pepe & Naldo in an attempt to fight off relegation.

Apparently the owner is getting kicked out as he won't be given residency in Monaco so it's spending so the royal family who own a part will take control again.

Was such a shame that the team that won the league two seasons ago was savaged by the bigger clubs because they were something really special.

I actually watched them against Marseille and they weren’t too bad. Like jsp said some of the more experienced guys have been out and they really miss Falcao when he’s not there despite his advancing years. Jovetic was brought into to add some firepower but he’s been out injured. Golovin probably hasn’t hit the expected heights yet either.

They have some real talented young guys but they are inexperienced, although it’s still surprising where they are. Although they showed some real battling qualities against Marseille and Fàbregas did add something. I think they will eventually get there way out of the relegation zone.

They are really just s feeder team for the big clubs, they develop young talent well and sell for huge sums. This is why Jardim was sacked as he had nothing to work with. It's money over football again. Shame for the fans but they could bounce back very easily with how they operate.

That's obviously the business model buy, develop, sell but the problem is the rates of sales has been quicker than the buys and they basically hit the jackpot multiple times in recent years when it came to buying players there's no way you can expect them to repeat that. It's like Southampton for years they were nailing it buy low sell high plus developing their own talent but eventually the luck runs out you get a few decisions wrong and it snowballs the other way quickly.

I think the guy who master minded all that a year or two ago because the guy who was in charge of player recruitment at Chelsea went there to replace him.

Oh he’s gone. Truth be told Monaco have had a patched up team most of the season with lots of injuries and have plumped for some veterans in the transfer window to stabilise things but it hasn’t really worked. Heard that Jardim will be back in to take charge a few months after being sacked himself.
