After the madness of christmas feels like it's been ages since we last played.

As we know the team has been out in Dubai having a bit of a winter training camp in the sunshine and a bit of rain rather than non stop rain and freezing temperatures so hopefully everyones legs are well rested and ready to go.

In terms of the squad Young serves the final game of his ban, Bailly & Zlatan remain injured and it is unclear on the return date for Carrick.

From social media photos both Fellaini & Valencia training with the squad while out in dubai so we have to assume that means a clean bill of health for us.

As for Stoke they've sacked their manager last week and haven't replaced him yet so they come to Old Trafford with an interim manager and who knows the darkness and glum might have lifted. Stoke have a good record vs the top sides at home but an awful record away from home which is something both Hughes & Pulis suffered with.

Be interesting to see what system he goes for I assume it'll be similar to the 4-1-4-1 played against Derby rather than the 4-3-3 we used away to Everton. Get on the front foot keep the pressure on and smash some goals in hopefully.

While it'd be nice for Zlatan and Carrick to come back and be great, I can't see it happening and we need to move them to the coaching staff and replace them on the pitch.

Suppose we should maybe start talkin about the game tonight rather than you know who. Haha!

Think Sanchez will start this o..... oh wait sorry.

From the reports, Carrick is included in the squad apparently or at least he has travelled. Valencia is back and Romero misses out after missing the Dubai trip. Martial is a slight doubt but hopefully will be fit.

In all honesty we should stuff them because they have been awful of late but hey so had Southampton and they came away with a 0-0.

Expected line up really. Plenty of goals in that front four so here’s hope for a good evening.

Why would we play 4-2-3-1 against Stoke?
Stoke are even playing 4-1-4-1.

I just don’t like the 4231, it’s just a waste of Pogbas talent.

Looks 4-1-4-1 to me Matic holding with Pogba allowed to go forward can’t see Pogba sitting deep starting moves surely he will be pushing higher up and looking to take the ball from CBs or Matic high up the pitch.

No Romero or Mhiki in match day squad 2 players rumoured to be leaving in Jan.

1-0 Valencia

Bends a beauty in the far corner with his LEFT foot.

Yes that’s correct his left foot.

Very sloppy since the goal they’ve had 4 shots at goal since we scored.

Midfield too open Pogba needs to make sure he helps Matic with the midfield runners.

Mata having a stinker here nothing coming off for him.

2-0 Martial

Another fantastic finish whips it in the top corner.
