Thread to discuss Pep Guardiola and Manchester City in the 2019/20 season.
Was it a clear and obvious error? I agree surprised VAR didn’t over rule and give a penalty.2-2 draw with Tottenham. But that doesn’t tell half the story. City had something like 20 attempts to Tottenhams 2. 74% possession. And a goal disallowed in the 93rd minute by VAR.
I also think they should have had a penalty. Don’t understand how it wasn’t given by VAR.
Yeah but without VAR you can’t enforce it as no one spots that handball without the cameras. The way the law is interpreted it was handball. But the rule needs to be changed. It’s ridiculous.
As for the penalty I thought it was a black and white definite penalty. So did the Spurs fans I talk to.
Wasn't he bought as the direct replacement for Fernandinho? The idea that they job share this season and Fernandinho was there to be the 4th choice centre back.Rodri surely moves to CB. It’s part of the reason he was bought.
