Vote for United's Player of the Month for April - Official Manchester United Website

Ander Herrera | 4 appearances, 2 goals, 1 Man of the Match
The popular Spaniard started April with a stunning contribution in the 3-1 home win over Aston Villa, scoring twice against the Midlanders during an all-action performance in midfield. He also helped the Reds win the Manchester derby 4-2 and was heavily involved at Chelsea where United were considered unfortunate to lose 1-0. Herrera covered more distance than anybody else on the pitch during the 3-0 loss at Everton and has now cemented a place in Louis van Gaal's side.

Chris Smalling | 3 appearances, 1 goal
The centre-back returned with a bang by scoring in the triumph over Manchester City and erasing the memory of his red card in the corresponding fixture with a towering display in defence. Growing in confidence and authority, he was rewarded with a new contract and was the senior partner alongside Paddy McNair at both Chelsea and Everton. He was also probably the Reds' best performer on a disappointing afternoon at Goodison.

Ashley Young | 4 appearances, 1 goal
He was outstanding in the derby-day demolition, when he scored the equaliser and provided assists for two other goals. Young's hard work for the team does not go unnoticed and he has retained his place in the team despite Angel Di Maria returning from suspension. There are signs of a developing relationship with Luke Shaw down the left flank as he is capable of picking out the defender's overlapping runs.
