Each game I have seen him play so far, he always seems to need about 10-20 mins to get into the game, and then gets stronger as it goes on

He has gone back to Uruguay as both of his parents were in a bad car crash

He is hoping to secure a loan deal with Penarol for the rest of the season

I know there hasn't been many under 21's games for a while but how had he been progressing those of you who have seen him?

The interplay between him and Janko on the right has been great to watch, Varela has improved with every game he has played and I thought looked settled.

I agree. Not a massive impact when he first came but little improvements every week. Good player.
