I have just just been talking with someone at work as we were both going to try and get tickets for the French Open. We were both just saying we think Wimbledon will be okay would be gutted but I supposed there are bigger things in lifeI work at Wimbledon at the moment and there are already talks about that being cancelled. For us it’ll be great as we’d claw back 4 weeks on program as we have to shut down and handover 2 weeks before the champs and can’t work during. But it shows we could lose another major sporting event this summer.
It’s inevitable that it will continue to spread but if people are sensible and self isolate when they become unwell then I think it can be contained to a degree. I pray we don’t have an Italy situation on our hands when we will eventually have to be on a country lockdown.
I’m reading the cases in China are now on the decrease but while there is still a degree of air travel then cases are still going to crop up. Eventually this will become just another strain of flu that can be vaccinated against but for now it is quite scary at how it is effecting the world.

What is wrong with people buying a years supply of toilet roll and pasta FFS.

They wont risk massive loss to the economy until such times as it is proven to be unavoidable.I think once there was one case in this country, the measures being put in place now should have been in. I think the government have been reactive rather than proactive. It’s obviously a tough situation and one they’ve never been in before but think the response has been slow.
Carrying on as normal as possible whilst being sensible if mild symptoms are shown is absolutely the right thing to do. Shut everything down and we will all face greater problems than a virus because it'll destroy the economy and have far greater consequences for us all long term. For me it's mental that an event like Cheltenham is going ahead 100,000 people plus from all over the country getting together over a
